Upitup Records is beyond happy to introduce you Goto80 and the Uwe Schenk Band with their " The Ferret Show " - a music session featuring live " PETSCII " art by Raquel Meyers (who also contributed the artwork for the album) recorded in Stuttgart about a month ago for the series of awesome shows hosted by our friend Uwe Schenk at the Theater Rampe called "Uwe Schenk trifft...". Enough introduction, let's get to the meat of it: "The Ferret Show" is an awesome release. Imagine 8-bit leads played via a [...]

Well, you know I like to clutter up my posts with my personal shit, I think that's this blogs "thing", like my meme. I write stuff about myself and then I write a little about the act and song in question. But to be honest I think I started writing poop about what I do just to fill the space, some might find it interesting but me personally hate reading about stuff like "today I opened up The origin of species " or "Wow, I love eating chips and watching Friends at the same time, it's brilliant", you [...]

But yeah, I all seriousness, I can't know about every godamn band. You know? So pl1x don't blame me for not nothing about You Love Her Coz She's Dead . They be a Kitsuné band and reminds me abit of a happier Crystal Castles with a little emo qualities.. Now, now. Don't be frightened by that. But yeh, I got goosebumps from this shit. I like it A LOT! Jan never gets goosebumps, sometimes from a Breakbot or Fred Falke remix but.. But THAT'S IT!!! I highly recommend this band, let's forget about Crystal Castles. [...]

Nilof is two kids from Stockholm who combine c64 blips and beeps with driving and bruising techno. Their song "Be Kind Rewind" (one of my favorite films btw) encapsulates their sound rather well. Be Kind Rewind
c64 is the man. srsly. A long standing veteran and pioneer of Toronto's underground breakcore and drum and bass scenes, Chris Minifie is the definition of musicality, knowledge and respect (all rolled up into one). A dedicated DJ first, Chris also runs two labels. His breakcore, experimental imprint Dross:tik Records and his dnb imprint, Make:Shift Records , which features a few local yocal heads aswell. He also runs a promotional company under the name of Splinter Productions , which I'm sure all Toronto friends are aware of. Make:Shift [...]
