Nowadays a 'Moustache Cup' would have a curly handlebar printed on the edge so drinkers look like they've got a dastardly 'stache But this is not your hipster's coffee cup … See the bit of moustache wax under " Las "? That's the real deal, folks. Moustache Cups had a protective strainer built-in so your 'stache wouldn't get soaked We spotted this one in a Petaluma antique shop. Many (including the shop [...]
Elton John has recently announced that he will be making his return to Las Vegas for an all new show called "The Million Dollar Piano". As of right now, only 16 shows have been scheduled but this only marks the beginning of a 3-year residency. If demand is anything like his last show, you can guarantee that there will be more performances. The iconic singer spoke of his return to the Strip, saying "Caesars Palace is just a perfect, idyllic place to play, and the show will be a gargantuan feast of music and imagery. I'm going to have a [...]
The Chairman Of The Board was at his best in Vegas.
Pink attended Bette Midler's Las Vegas revue, 'The Showgirl Must Go On', at Caesars Palace with her hubby Carey Hart recently and gave a huge surprise to both the audience and the star of the show herself. The pop rock singer came out on stage in the middle of Bette's performance and the two sang an impromptu duet of 'The Rose'. Wow! That was a duet of epic proportions! I wonder if anyone was able to film a video of the surprise. I would definitely like to see that one. I didn't even know that Pink was a Bette fan.

During a year-long gambling binge at the Caesars Palace and Rio casinos in 2007, Terrance Watanabe managed to lose nearly $127 million. The run is believed to be one of the biggest losing streaks by an individual in Las Vegas history. It devoured much of Mr. Watanabe's personal fortune, he says, which he built up over more than two decades running his family's party-favor import business in Omaha, Neb. FULL STORY . It's one thing to blow that kind of money when you have a legitimate business, but the party-favor racket has to be pretty [...]

A three time GRAMMY winning music icon as well as a two-time Oscar-nominated film star, Bette Midler first rose to fame in the early '70s when her first two albums for Atlantic Records soared to the Top 10 in Billboard. Decades of success later, the "Divine Miss M" is as popular as ever, with her sensational new Las Vegas revue - "The Showgirl Must Go On" at Caesar's Palace - adding to her global renown. Midler's new Rhino retrospective 'The Best Bette' , her most comprehensive single-disc anthology to date, [...]
Between the weakness of previous record "Paper tigers" and the total media saturation of "Jerk it out" , it's easy to forget just how good those old Caesars Palace / Caesars albums really are. Any good will I had left was sapped out. So with a promising new double-album on the way (the half-dozen or so tracks from "Strawberry weed" that I've heard so far are all surprisingly strong), I figure it's time to pay 'em a visit and hopefully rekindle what we once had. It's actually quite easy as their distinctive garage-pop [...]
