British punk/metal crossover act English Dogs have announced a North American tour set for February 2012. The band, which formed in the 1980s, will be touring with their "classic lineup" which features Andrew "Pinch" Pinching (also of The Damned), Graham "Gizz" Butt (Ex-Prodigy, The More I See) and Adie Bailey. The run will feature support from The Casualties , Toxic Holocaust and Havok .
Toxic Holocaust and Havok are two "re-thrash" bands that I can certainly get behind, especially live. Both bands know how to bring the party atmosphere to the stage, and leave many attendees with serious cases of whiplash due to all their headbanging. You could experience it for yourself when they head out on the road ...
If you missed the awesome Toxic Holocaust headlining tour we sponsored over the summer, don't be too sad - 'cause the band just announced another trek, this one to start in February. Last time, the band had one punk band, Krum Bums, and one metal band, Holy Grail, playing support; this time, they'll have two [...]

I was bored and clicking around on the Internet like you do, when I discovered two things on the Crashdiet site. First of all, I realized what their merch mascot reminds me of. I love you, Crashdiet and your extremely marketable new singer, but, um, you're sort of ripping off The Casualties. To be fair, [...]

The Casualties announced on their Facebook that they have cancelled their upcoming tour of Australia and Southeast Asia. It's a huge disappointment but we promise to make up the dates soon." Further details have yet to be released but the California and Japan dates have not been affected.

Organizers of the Pukkelpop Festival in Belgium have canceled the remainder of the event after yesterday's tragic stage collapse . There were several conflicting reports on the number of casualties yesterday; today Billboard is reporting that the number stands at five dead, 75 injured. Bands slated to appear at the remaining two days of Pukkelpop included OFF! , Fucked Up , Make Do and Mend , Bouncing Souls , No Use For A Name , New Found Glory , The Offspring and many [...]

If you think running a music festival is easy, you should talk to Frank Chandler. The Nateva Festival promoter dealt with all sorts of permit issues last summer and has just announced that this year's fest has been canceled. A refreshingly honest statement posted on the event's website cites "slower than predicted ticket sales," permitting problems and "a very crowded summer festival season" as the reasons for the cancelation. A domino effect should now take place as the bands booked for Nateva scramble to [...]

We quite enjoy playing 'beat the Youtube'. That's where you try and find a video that breaks Youtube's content rules before it gets taken down and see how long it stays up without getting pulled. Then you have to find it elsewhere on the web. As far as games go it's not the best one in the world (residing somewhere between Kerplunk and Ibble Dibble), but it's fun typing boobs, willies and tits into the Youtube search box once in a while. Here's a good one. It's just gone online to accompany Here We Go Magic 's [...]

Every find yourself at a concert wishing there was more blood, semen, and human innards involved? Rhetorical question. Of course you do. Well, wish no more this fall when GWAR , the universe's premiere monster-metal band, rapes and pillages at a theater near you. The wreckage commences on October 2nd in Baltimore before wrapping up at Austin's Fun Fun Fun Fest on November 6th. In between, the band travels up and down the Eastern seaboard and into the Midwest for thirty shows (including a sure-to-be-epic Halloween gig in Milwaukee). The jaunt promotes their upcoming [...]

Punk's current appeal could not be further from the streetpunk revival of 1990. The decade saw the transition from hardcore with notable acts such as Black Flag, Bad Brains, and Dillinger Escape Plan, to the much more successful pop-punk movement. While the genre, and the fanbase, have shifted during the last 20 years, hardcore punk fans are some of the most resilient in the industry. Preparing to celebrate their 20th anniversary March 28, the New York Street punks The Casualties , can attest to the loyalty of their fanbase. The 2009 release We are all We [...]
