Cat Power 's last record, 20082s "Jukebox," was basically a covers record. Which is no sneeze for Chan Marshallher version of The Velvet Underground's "I Found a Reason" on her 2000 record of covers was one of the best tracks to come out that decade. But it does mean that the last record of original material she released was six years ago, with 20062s well-received "The Greatest." Today she announces "Sun," a comeback record of sorts, and streams the lead single "Ruin."
