Cat Power has unveiled the self-directed video for Cherokee , the magnificent album opener on her latest record Sun (which is really amazing). It's the first video off Sun , but she already started working on the video for Ruin - busy bee, that Chan Marshall. Sun is out now via Matador and definitely worth the purchase . The video for Cherokee is somewhat funny, amongst others because it features zombies.

Como si el fin del mundo o las epidemias de zombies no fueran problemas lo suficientemente chonchos, a cineastas y videoastas les ha gustado desde siempre contar historias del fin del mundo o persecuciones de muertos vivientes situando a sus personajes en el inhóspito entorno del desierto. No sé exactamente qué clase de personajes ni qué situación retrata " Cherokee ", el nuevo video de Cat Power, pero hay desierto, armas, zombies que nunca se despeinan, motos, patinetas, y un encuentro entre personajes modernos que luchan por su supervivencia y nativos americanos.

Directed by Chan Marshall herself, the video for Cat Power 's "Cherokee" has things getting pretty weird in the desert. It's not clear exactly how the desert came into such a state, but the setting looks like it would make for a great movie. Cat Power's album Sun is out now.

In the video for " Cherokee ," the single from Cat Power's excellent new album Sun , Chan Marshall engages in zombie laser battle in some sort of immaculately designed apocalyptic future. Marshall herself directs the narrative-heavy video, and I'm going to have to watch it a few more times to figure out whether it's symbolic of something or whether she just wanted to make her own low-budget '80s-style sci-fi movie. Despues de compartir varios fragmentos del proceso de grabacion de su nuevo video a traves de Instagram, el dia de hoy Cat Power por fin ha dado a conocer el video oficial para " Cherokee ", primer sencillo oficial que se desprende de su mas reciente produccion de nombre "Sun", el cual ademas estuvo bajo la direccion de la misma Chan, lo cual obviamente nos viene bastante bien para iniciar la semana asi que sin mas, yo solo los invito a darle un vistazo a esto de Cat Power .
