Last week Childish Gambino teamed with Flynt Flossy & Yung Humma , now we get another unexpected collaboration from Mr. Donald Glover . "Unnecessary," featuring TDE's ScHoolboy Q is from Gambino's upcoming (still untitled) new mixtape, coming soon. Stream below via the nefarious Funkmaster Flex : Childish Gambino – Unnecessary ft. "I'm a Mac Pro with an afro/Move in silence like a .gif" I went through three phases during my initial listening of this song: 1. Denial 2. Confusion 3. Weird dancing phase in my parents' dry-cleaner. As hilarious as this song is, it's twice as catchy, and Gambino's verse goes HARD (even though it's about goat intercourse and what not, so many one-liners). I'm really loving his tweaked flow.
Childish and Turquoise Jeep linked up at FunFunFun Festival and probably recorded this around that time. While the track itself is just a meager 2:20 long, the message that it conveys is clear. This is most likely dedicated to MJF. #FuckMJF FIRST! Listen: Childish Gambino - Fuck Your Blog (ft. Flynt Flossy & Yung Humma) |
(Pictured above: Childish Gambino; Main Stage; Coachella) Day 2 of Coachella immediately got off with a bang. I started my day by watching a rapper I have always wanted to see live, Childish Gambino! As you know we at BeforeBigs.com are huge fans of the comedian turned rapper and it was great to see him [...]
Childish Gambino brought out Kendrick Lamar to kick a verse from "Look Out For Detox" earlier today in Indio. Danny Brown came out in some Jeremy Scott to join the fun. Childish Gambino and Proper Villains have one thing in common: they're both constantly surprising us. Donald Glover's single Heartbeat has been well received just about everywhere. Proper Villains have constantly surprised us with his versatility in production. When you put the two together, you get an awesome intro with a deep piano melody that drops you into a nasty drum beat with dirty wobbles and Gambino's vocals. All in all, its a great track to keep the party moving. Heartbeat (Proper Villains Remix) - Childish Gambino
This track is so uplifting, and Josh Osho looks like Lebron James. Sad that Childish Gambino wasn't able to physically be in the video, but I do think his verse feels really out of place in this. Still a great track, the single comes out on April 23.
Earlier this week, Childish Gambino dropped another fire track. This time it's "East Your Vegetables" and he once again kills it! This guy knows hows to spit rhymes like nobodies business. Plus I love the sample from a song on the classic Super Nintendo game Donkey Kong Country. I cannot wait to see him live [...]

"Eat Your Vegetables" is probably from Childish Gambino's upcoming new mixtape (album art pictured above). On the track he says 'I would die for my hood - Trayvon ' and though I'm a firm advocate of hooded sweatshirts, this punchline from Gambino was so predictable and highly groan-worthy. What do you think? Full lyrics via RG. Listen: Childish Gambino's New Song "Eat Your Vegetables" |

"Man I die for my hood, Trayvoooon" You can always count on Gambino to be the first to warrant the "Too soon man..." tag. No one knows what his next project is (likely a mixtape) but this song is linked to it. I'm really liking his flow on this, it's mean as hell. RIP Trayvon. " I don't read text or eavesdrop, I just freestyle in that G-spot... " If you've ever been to a Childish Gambino concert where the drummer threw his drumstick at the end of the show and your friend standing next to you let it slip through his fingers, then you may have noticed a gentleman with long hair on stage with Gambino. That is Ludovin , his producer and co-writer for Camp . He also does music for the show Community too. Ludovin released How To Find A Party [...]

Ludwig Göransson (aka Ludovin) helped co-write and co-produce Childish Gambino's Camp album, so the production on "Tricks" might sound familiar. Inbetween working with Donald Glover on Childish Gambino and the music for NBC's Community , Ludwig worked on a new EP called How To Find A Party . Another remix I've been meaning to post.. Alessandro Ayer's remix of Childish Gambino's "Heartbeat". Better than original. For real.
Pretty jealous he went shirt less for Paris and not for Orlando but it's all good, no love lost. Shout out to Gambino for making the crowd chant Allah. Also shout out to the person who searched for "Childish Gambino's shorts" - you made me feel so proud.
The video for Camp favorite 'Heartbeat' gives us Gap model Donald driving a vintage car and making out/cavorting with an impressionable young co-star. Heterosexual females and homosexual males; does this Donald make you randy? Or does he give you kind of a Drake-but-more-bitter vibe?

Well I guess with Community currently on hiatus Donald Glover has all the time in the world to focus on his music. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of Community and Mr. Glover's comedy, but this little break can only be a good thing for Childish Gambino fans. His latest video for "Heartbeat" features CG cruising around town in a Mercedes 230E with some hot chick in the back seat while he goes to town on a bag of Cheetos. If that aint ballin' I don't know what is... [...]
I'm trying to work these posts in on my lunch break so excuse the descriptions but here's Childish Gambino's new music video! He killed those flaming hot Cheetos.
30 Rock has hit the web in a new webisode type of deal. In their latest episode Jack recruits Michael McDonald , Ryan Adams , and Childish Gambino for the Super Bowl Half-Time Show tryouts. The catch is there's no money in the budget and so the artist have to perform old NBC show theme songs to avoid clearance costs. At 2:50 it's Gambino's turn and he goes in over Knight Rider . I really hope he makes that into an actual track because it could be a banger.
Hey Kids, So this week, I'm getting high off my own supply. Luckily, I deal music and not coke. Anyways, in this post we have Mister Mistress covering both "Heartbeat" by Childish Gambino, and "We Found Love" by Rihanna. Mister Mistress is currently busy recording their new EP, and wanted to give a nice treat [...]
