Finding out about Childish Gambino and Beck collaborating was like the first time I saw someone use gummy bears as an ice cream topping. The former is too ridiculous for that beloved latter, I thought, and there's no way those textures can complement each other. The jury's still out on acceptable ice cream accoutrements, but very much decided on the excellence of "Silk Pillow," which features both artists spitting laid-back rhymes in succession over smooth pianos and serrated percussion.
