With a door time of 6.30 we miss the opening band of three, Rewards. I didn't even now we had three bands tonight. We do catch second up, London's Goldheart Assembly. Who were once supposed to be one of those happening bands but I don't think much happened. Something might happen tonight though as they drag an oil drum on stage... The band have been known to use unusual objects as musical instruments and tonight appears to be no exception. Perhaps the fact that the bands two lead vocalists are both ex-zookeepers at Whipsnade Zoo accounts for such [...]

On Monday, 3 May 2010, Tessa ( a good friend of ours) and I got the chance to interview We Are Scientists (Keith Murray (K) and Chris Cain (C)). Their record label Pias held a press day in Anderlecht, so that they got a chance to talk about their new album Barbara. The album is out now! First of all, we wanted to congratulate them with the album, so we gave them a book (My clients call me Barbara) and a box full of self made cookies. They absolutely loved it and posted it on Twitter [...]

by Nicole Rallis Next month will mark We Are Scientists 's return to record stores, nearly two years after the self-proclaimed "hobbyists" and funnymen released their sophomore effort, Brain Thrust Mastery . Armed with a new drummer, We Are Scientists's founding fathers Chris Cain and Keith Murray will release Barbara on June 15, a ten-track album filled with infectious love, alcohol and self-doubt drenched hooks that are wrapped up in the up-tempo rhythms that the troupe's fans have [...]
An interesting history on his web site

Opening a sold out show is no easy feat. You know the crowd is there for the headliners and those that have shown up in time for your set really need to be impressed and that's what The Whigs did on the second of their two night stint at the Electric Factory. The threesome played energetic, gritty rock featuring beautiful riffs, heavy vocals and energetic beats. The half full venue enjoyed the Whigs' energy, solid set and infectious stage presence. At one point, these Georgia guys made an awkward joke [...]

On October 25, 2008, We Are Scientists ( W.A.S. ) opened with The Stills for Kings Of Leon . The band is made up of two key players, Keith Murray on guitar and lead vocals and Chris Cain on bass guitar and backing vocals. Their hour long set was filled with non-stop music that rocked the crowd in their wild science experiment. After hearing their recorded music and now hearing their live music, their live performance out weighs their recorded. W.A.S. put on an outstanding, enthusiastic, [...]

We Are Scientists are not...scientists. They are, however, one of the most exciting bands to catch in concert. Keith Murray and Chris Cain, joined by Max Hart on keys and Adam Aaronson on drums, packed out Philadelphia's Johnny Brenda's and tore the place up. We Are Scientists, while great recorded, are far better live. An [...]
