With 10 albums, including popular B-side and acoustic recordings, a side project with Say Anything's Max Bemis, and legions of adoring fans, Conley is proof that the early guitarist catches the worm. The stage was Subterranean, on the near-west side of Chicago. The weather was cold, but the fans didn't mind. The occasion? The "Where's the Band?" tour, starring Anthony Raneri of Bayside, Chris Conley of Saves the Day, Matt Pryor of The Get Up Kids, and Dustin Kensrue of Thrice, all playing solo and acoustic. The four men played their own music and covered other bands, ribbed each other lightly on their musical selections, and generally seemed to have a great time. The audience got in on the action too; almost everyone [...]

Take two parts Say Anything , add two parts Saves the Day , rock vigorously, and apply generously to ears. Thusly, I can only assume, was the band Two Tongues born. Max and Coby from Say Anything have teamed up with Chris and Dave from Saves the Day to form a group that meshes exceptionally well. There are some great tracks on this self-titled debut. We start things off with "Crawl," a raucous little opening track that starts with a Kraig-approved (possibly) "YEAH!" and features a Max Bemis signature [...]

I heard a song on the radio and for a moment I thought it was Saves The Day's "Do You Know What I Love The Most?" But alas, it seems like none of Saves The Day's songs have ever been played on corporate airwaves. Wouldn't life be so much better if we could switch the dial and hear something like this? [Download Saves The Day - Do You Know What I Love The Most?] Saves The Day, headed by Chris Conley, has spent more than a [...]

Since their formation in 1997, Saves the Day has had it's share of 12 different members. These days we could call them pop-punk veterans, having lasted through the changing line-ups for over a decade, and now Saves the Day is adding one more member on to the list of past and present band members, with the addition of a new guitarist into the mix. Arun Bali will be the new guitarist for the band and will also be singing backup vocals. Bali will be taking the place [...]
Two melancholy and emotionally damaged lead singers walk into a bar…..sounds like the beginning of a joke, but once you replace the bar with a recording studio, the joke turns into a album that is best described as group therapy. Two Tongues is either a side project, or a super group, semantics really, comprised of Max Bemis and Coby Linder of Say Anything and Chris Conley and Dave Soloway of Saves the Day . Both Bemis and Conley are well known for their hyper personal lyrics and wearing their neurosis [...]
