Yesterday reached over 60°. It was an absolutely gorgeous day filled with warmth and sunshine. Today is no slouch either. The temperature is already 45°. This is the strangest winter. Yesterday was freezing, literally. When I went to the dump, an open area all around, I thought I'd been whisked to the steppes of Russia. This is totally out of the Scissor Sisters' ballpark, but it is a little jumpy. Not our cup of tea really, although we love when Jake Shears' vocals come in. But, we don't like the direction nor do we think the band should continue this way. Let's hope the new album packs a punch with some premium glam rock and alternative twists, like we are used to. Ho-Ho-Ho! Those dedicated enough to put down the egg-nog and head to Lavo on Christmas Eve were treated to an incredible night. Having not ventured to Lavo since the summer, I was thoroughly impressed with the renovations that the club had undergone, adding two GIANT HD LED Screens on either side of the DJ Booth, and a brand new CO2 Cold Fog System capable of covering the entire club with a dense haze. As usual, our hosts at Lavo spared no expense, providing guests with signature Lavo LED foam sticks, contributing significantly to the atmosphere of the party. [...]
