Last September, Meat Loaf released his 11th studio album, Hell in a Handbasket , in Australia (good snag, Aussies). On March 13th, however, the arena rock god will finally unleash the 12-track effort stateside via Legacy Recordings. In a press release for the effort, Meat Loaf called Hell in a Handbasket "the most personal record I've ever made," adding, "It's really the first record I've ever put out about how I feel about life and how I feel about what's going on at the moment." The album features a few potentially interesting collaborations with the likes of Chuck D, Lil [...]
Si intitoleranno "Most of my heroes still don't appear on no stamp" (frase contenuta nel brano "Fight The Power") che sarà da prodotto da Gary G-Wiz e dovrebbe uscire in giugno e "The evil empire of everything" che dovrebbe arrivare nei negozi a settembre.

Estos álbumes serían sus más recientes lanzamientos desde el How Do You Sell Soul To Soulless People Who Sold Their Soul , publicado en el 2007. El primer álbum se llama Most Of My Heroes Still Don't Appear On No Stamp , haciendo referencia a una línea del tema 'Fight the Power' , y será lanzado en Junio. El segundo álbum The Evil Empire of Everything , será lanzado en Septiembre.

Public Enemy is back in full force this year with plans to drop not one but two albums. Most of My Heroes Don't Appear on No Stamp drops in June and the follow-up album, The Evil Empire of Everything, drops in September. Chuck D recently spoke with Billboard and described the albums as "two concise statements that are connected in the same breath." However, the free charity concerts seem the most intriguing with plans to play on the eve of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and the Operation: Skid Row Festival that benefits the [...]

Welcome to every major label's worst nightmare. Universal Music Group (UMG) is now facing the real possibility of mulitple class action lawsuits alleging they short-changed artists of royalties owed for digital downloads and ringtones. This week, the combined force of Rob Zombie and the estate of Rick James cleared a legal hurdle for their class action suit filed in April, and Chuck D introduced a fresh lawsuit making similar claims. UMG hopes to have both suits treated as breach-of-contract disputes since, if allowed to move forward as class actions, [...]

Tired of rap songs without a point to make? If you're sick of hearing guys rap about their cars, their money, their bitches, their fame, etc, etc, etc (although not sure if that subject matter ever gets old), then here's one solution: Immortal Technique. For years, the man has never been afraid to speak his mind, and luckily, he's pretty well spoken. Throw Brother Ali, Chuck D, and Killer Mike into the mix, and call the shit "Civil War"? This one is serious. "Civil War" is off of Immortal Technique's free project The Martyr , coming out tomorrow. [...]

Ya boy here - BackInTheYay - hasn't posted a song in a while since graduating school in June and starting to work in NYC. But as a big Immortal Technique fan and someone cursed with being an incessant philosopher, I had to check in and drop the track that came out today. I'm gonna keep my opinions to a minimum for respect to the blog, but if you are familiar with Immortal Technique at all this track won't surprise you in the least bit- especially given what's going on in America and around The World. [...]

Hey, who said festival season was over? A certain All Tomorrow's Parties event, the inaugural U.S. I'll Be Your Mirror , just took Asbury Park, New Jersey by storm (sort of literally, but that's okay because it was inside!) and it surely qualifies as a festival. That's right, while every other festival is in its 10th year and booking the same 250 acts as the festival preceding it, ATP just swoops in with an unglamorous but effective idea and declares itself a contender for U.S. festival of the year! At least as far as the [...]
