Follow on Twitter! While we're on the tip of introducing artists and groups ( yello squares and Far*Out yesterday) that you may be unfamiliar with, here's one more to complete the trifecta. The four member electro-pop outfit Body Language hails from the indie haven of Brooklyn, NY and delivers on everything you'd expect when I combine the words Brooklyn, electro, indie, and pop in the same sentence. Some people would say this is what pop music truly is and not the commercial stuff we're use to hearing, but I'm [...]

Passion Pit: "Live to Tell the Tale:" Share and Enjoy:
What's good? In case you haven't noticed, your rezident prezident has not posted music in several weeks. I'm sorry. :D Between coding, enjoying my DJ Hero - Renegade Edition (Thanks m80), school, and various website stuff, I've been kinda busy. But here are some songs that I haven't been able to stop playing lately. Cuddle Fuddle. I didn't even know this track existed until a few weeks ago, and I am so mad I missed out on "Chunk Of Change." This song is whiny, but I can't get enough of it. It has such a nice backbeat - [...]

Continuing or ACL coverage today, we are excited to bring you an interview with buzz worthy band Passion Pit. These guys have been getting a whole bunch of praise heaped on them from numerous sources and we tend to think they deserve that praise. We recently spoke with Jeff Apruzzese from the band who discusses the hype and buzz surrounding his band. Of course that's not all we talk about, but you'll just have to read more to see it all. ATH: This seems like it has [...]
Words By K1NG I'm not sure exactly what happened in detail, but one day recently my brain began to accept and appreciate the oddest music. It might have to do with the input of my man Beware on this site or maybe I'm just maturing as a fan of music. Regardless of the reasoning, the broadening of my horizons has had a very positive effect on save/delete ratio upon downloading new music. The latest artist that has taken my head for a spin is the electronic sounds [...]

Fun, fun and fun. That is what summer is and that is what this album is, FUN. I hate it when bands release a promising EP and don't follow through on their first full length album but that is not the case with Passion Pit. Chunk of Change showed promise for the electro-pop group from Boston, MA and they took what made that EP work and extended it to a very respectable full length debut in Manners . I put this into my rotation a couple of weeks ago and I can't keep some of the songs [...]

Words and photos by Meiyee Apple Passion Pit played in Los Angeles for two consecutive nights with Cale Parks and Harlem Shakes . Excellent efforts on the two opening bands on both nights, but this is about the dance band of the summer. Both shows, one at the tiny Troubadour in West Hollywood, and the other at the more appropriately-sized Echoplex in LA, were sold out for the mere price [...]

Say hello to Passion Pit, the latest keyboard-wielding disco popsters to make the blogosphere froth at the gash. Their EP "Chunk Of Change", released in December last year, was met with critical acclaim, and their album "Manners" (which you can listen to in full at their Myspace page) will be released on Tuesday. Fans have been given the chance to remix their track "Sleepyhead" via Buffetlibre's Proyecto Batidora, and all in all, they're being hyped to the hills right now. Once I get some money, I'll buy the album and do a review of it, but [...]

Passion Pit Manners Columbia / Frenchkiss Release Date: 05.19.09 You'll love this album … On the full-length debut Manners , Michael Angelakos appropriates and amplifies the elements that made Passion Pit's Chunk of Change EP a success. He remains unabashedly loyal to his shrill voice, supplementing its high-pitched yelps with infectious pop hooks and relentless energy. Emerging last fall, Angelakos was just a sensitive northeastern frat-boy penning songs to his ex-girlfriend. The winter passes and he's a boldly confident indie-star that records in fancy-studios with [...]

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars To refer to this as one of the most anticipated albums thus far this year is probably an understatement; throw out Grizzly Bear and this is the album everyone wanted to hear. Passion Pit finally have a full length, Manners , to help you make up your mind; are they worth all this hype? You'll have to make up your own mind on that one, as this album is sure to be a polarizing one for many listeners. It builds upon [...]

Passion Pit 's claim to fame with their potential one hit wonder of an EP Chunk Of Change is under serious threat. With their first single "The Reeling" which we featured last week and wonderful video proving that they just might be just as good as we believed, it seems we are in for a wonderful joyride. They have now left a wonderful taste in our mouth with another track of their upcoming new album Manners . It is now officially a highly anticipated album [...]

Passion Pit - Moth's Wings pd. También les dejo un remix [...]

Looks like synth-pop Bostonites Passion Pit are taking this major label thing seriously. In preparing to follow up the hyped-up Chunk Of Change EP with the release of their first full length record, Manners , next month, the band has debuted the video for the lead single "The Reeling" on MTV. Upon first listen "The Reeling" might not strike as much of a hook and catch as the groups' more talked about single "Sleepyhead" from the EP, but with the aid of their cleverly [...]

When he's not busy being the best boyfriend in the world and writing endearingly catchy love-album's for his girlfriend, Passion Pit front man Michael Angelakos is in the studio , busting out new tracks for their debut album Manners , which will be released May 19 in the U.S. on Frenchkiss and May 18 on Columbia everywhere else. Until then, we're have to make due with the pretty darn stellar Chunk of Change EP and new single "The Reeling" which is currently streaming on [...]

Following up on their industry-acclaimed EP Chunk of Change , Passion Pit is releasing their first full-length album, Manners , this upcoming May. We already know they've taken a page out of Columbia Records label mates Peter Bjorn and John 's handbook and enlisted a bunch of school kids for one of the singles, so this time around we're assuming the album isn't just another belated Valentine's Day present made for Michael Angelakos' girlfriend. While reports have been semi-conflicting (e-mails [...]

So I have been sitting on "Sleepyhead" for a while now and totally loving it! Thinking it was just another one hit wonder, it was a few weeks before I checked out their entire EP, and wow! I can't believe I wasted those weeks without it! My boyfriend and I are huge Of Montreal fans, and this band definitely appeals to that same part of my brain that likes sounds that are different and danceable. I totally love ALL the songs on this EP (a very rare occasion). For a better description, I'd go with Gaspard Augé and Xavier de [...]
