Coldplay did a damn fine job of the Paralympic Closing Ceremony, unleashing hit after hit.... after hit. One of the highlights was a wonderfully bass-heavy rendition of 'Paradise'. The band clattered through songs such as 'Viva La Vida', 'Yellow', '422, 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall', 'Princess of China', 'Us Against The World', 'Charlie Brown' and 'Up In Flames'. Earlier this week Chris Martin and chums stopped by American Idol to perform a mini-set on the US reality show. Well, they've done X Factor over here, so why not ey? Playing the three monster singles from Mylo Xyloto the performance paints the groups as exactly what they now, a true pop group. Rather bizarrely introduced by J Lo, it's a pretty sweet set.
