Coldplay's 16 song set ensured that the Paralympic Closing Ceremony had a musical cohesion that wasn't present during the far more lucid (and frankly not as good) Olympic equivalent. A couple of weeks ago, we beheld the weirdly moving spectacle of Orbital and Stephen Hawking performing together at the Paralympics Opening Ceremony. At the closing ceremony of the 2012 Paralympics in London, Coldplay was joined by fellow heavyweight pals Jay-Z and Rihanna for a rousing rendition of "Run This Town." Hova also added a new verse to the end of Coldplay's "Paradise." To top off the proceedings, Rihanna swung through her ubiquitous "We Found Love" and Coldplay performed mega-hit "Viva La Vida." Coldplay did a damn fine job of the Paralympic Closing Ceremony, unleashing hit after hit.... after hit. One of the highlights was a wonderfully bass-heavy rendition of 'Paradise'. Coldplay headlined the Paralympics closing ceremony in London tonight, and they got a little help from their friends. Jay-Z joined the band for a new version of "Paradise" and Rihanna duetted with Chris Martin on “Princess Of China". Jay-Z, Rihanna, and Coldplay also teamed up for "Run This Town".
