The 2012 Brit Awards took place this evening in London and, like most award shows these days, the performances clearly overshadow the actual getting of awards. This was no different as Blur took the stage for the first time in three years and performed a 12-minute set that included "Song 2," "Girls and Boys," "Parklife," "Tender" and "This Is A Low." As promised, Blur took the stage at the 2012 Brit Awards earlier this evening, marking their first performance together in three years. Their lengthy set included classics like "Girls & Boys", "Song 23, "Parklife", "Tender", and "This is a Low". Check out the video replay below. In the wake of Whitney Houston's death , this year's Grammys Awards show was a sensitive thing. Every chance they got, the hosts and artists tried to reaffirm that the show was a chance to celebrate music. It's what Whitney would  have wanted and is the best way to pay tribute to her, they said. And that's probably true, but it still made this awards show a difficult one. Sir Paul McCartney was honored as the 2012 MusiCares Person of the Year in Los Angeles Friday night. The ceremony included a number of live performances, including covers of "Jet" by Foo Fighters, "Blackbird" by Alicia Keys, "Hey Jude" by Katy Perry, "We Can Work It Out" by Coldplay, and "I Saw You Standing There" by Neil Young & Crazy Horse, which marked the reunited outfit's first performance in eight years . From some friends in the business, I heard about the concept for Coldplay 's video 'Charlie Brown' long before I'd actually sat down and watched the promo. In this video meant to feel like a mini-film, the undecidedly non-ravey piano rock band play in the middle of a group of their fans as coloured lights pour down on them, while young kids get involved in some decidedly unsavoury antics. Well, unsavoury if you're old enough to know better, I guess... Click here to view the embedded video.

This is the first set of visuals in a series of leaks off of the forthcoming Coldplay Sessions in which the Austin-native will flip 14 Coldplay tracks and make them his own. "Paradise" is a flip of the Colplay track that shares the same name and video depicts M.i overlooking what I assume is Austin, TX.  I was a fan of his Jack Johnson Sessions and I was very impressed when I found out M.i  engineers his own tracks. The tape is set to drop sometime in the near future. Peep the video below.

Coldplay have been teasing their video for 'Charlie Brown' for a little while now. The video officially hit the web today and it is directed by Mat Whitecross and it was filmed in London. 'Charlie Brown' is the third single released from the bands 5th album, titled Mylo Xyloto. To be honest it sounds much better then the first two singles, 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall', and 'Paradise', and almost has that early Coldplay swagger to it.

If new videos from Madonna , Adam Lambert , and M.I.A. weren't quite enough for you on this clip-heavy Friday, then we are sorry you're so picky, but perhaps Coldplay is more your speed. Coldplay have snuck their new video for "Charlie Brown" up online in the wee hours and it features a lot of neon. It also features Antonia-Rose Laura Thomas who you may recognise from the E4 Series Misfits. The rest of the video takes place in what looks like a club with Chris Martin and co all covered in neon lights and flashing gadgets much like you might have seen if you've watched Coldplay on their recent tours.
