It was only a matter of time before cult schizo-rappers Insane Clown Posse and rock baron Jack White collaborated to cover Mozart, and now, finally, the end result is here! No, but seriously, this happened. Jack White produced it and JEFF the Brotherhood plays as the backing band. Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J engage in a ribald discussion - "I heard Mozart was deaf!" "Def as in dope?" - where they surmise that Mozart's "underground" hit "Leck Mich Im Arsch" translates to "Like My Ass." Seriously, I couldn't even make this up, and I'm really good at making stuff [...]

When reading this press release for the upcoming Lou Reed/Metallica record LULU my mind drifted to some other bizarre collabs: Jello Biafra and the Melvins? Dead Kennedys, and Melvins aren't the same but adding a vocalist to the Melvins music wasn't that adsurd. Black Keys and Rza on Blakroc? The Keys love Wu. RZA loves grit. Worked. Trent Reznor and El-P's Flyentology ? Both dudes are cypercreeps. Song is good. So that brings us to [...]
Click here to view the embedded video. MP3:The Game feat Tyler, the Creator + Lil Wayne -Martians vs. Goblins Has Game out trolled Lil B the Based God ? I love the Game's music. However, between his meta-reference rhyme content, Mike Tyson-esque face tattoo and constant love poems to Dr. Dre he is one of the most absurd, grotesque individuals in Hip Hop. Game's newest adventure has him dissing Lil B the [...]

Look who it is. It's New York math-rock and recently-reduced-to-a-trio Battles and they're here, in their car, where they feel safest of all, where they can lock all their doors, which is the only way to live, in cars. Yes, Battles have a new single out- taken from their brilliant second album Gloss Drop - due 15 August. The song 'My Machines' features none other than goth icon Gary Numan , hence the little comedy skit above. The single sees the meeting of one of the most [...]
Ryan and wife have fused their voices on a new song called "Empty Room." It's the first time they've officially collaborated, and it comes via a tour-only 73 backed with what we're gonna call Adams In Chains: Ryan's cover of AiC's Jar Of Flies (and Unplugged ) standout "Nutshell" in all of its four-chord, Layne Staley heroin-stained and Jerry Cantrell searingly soloed glory. Ryan gives good cover, but after all , you already knew that. Stream 'em both here: Read More...

Jimmy Fallon's interview with Cee Lo Green was a bit by-the-numbers last night (they covered "Fuck/Forget You," Gwyneth Paltrow , the Grammy performance ). "Christina's just like the best to me," Cee Lo said about Xtina. "We did a song together, a few years ago. It actually was supposed to make the [...]
Last week, we told you about Outkast's Big Boi tweeting about working with Modest Mouse in a studio. that pretty much shocked the hell out of everybody. Personally, I love it when artists take risks and do the unthinkable. Now,...
Filed under: News , Exclusive Tim Mosenfelder, Getty Images If, as the saying goes, it takes ten years of hard work to become an overnight success, then Texas quartet Old 97's , hard at it for nearly two decades, should have blown up yesterday. Alongside Uncle Tupelo , Drive By Truckers and Whiskey Town, they pioneered alt-country but despite next big thing hype, huge commercial success [...]
We do love a good collaboration, and we love it even more when the equation involves names that we genuinely like. We don't know what possessed a hotel and a sock company to join forces but we are extremely pleased...
Remember Clutchy Hopkins , the so called mysterious beat digger from Midwest?. Ubiquity has released an exciting new collabo between C.H and Britain's exotic kookhead Shawn Lee . The video below tells the story of a chance encounter in their own mystical ways of course. " The Clutch of the Tiger " is all fat beats and eclectic influences and kooky hooks that is pretty interesting for the mainstream beatheads. For bizarro afficionados like us though the music is not as exciting as the idea of a Clutchy Hopkins & Shawn Lee collab. [...]
