The talented High 5 Collective film crew kills it whenever they get behind the lens. And that remains true with both their official and fan-made clips, with their latest falling into the latter category. They decided to shoot a short film based on Kendrick Lamar 's "Collect Calls", a bonus track off good kid, m.A.A.d. city . The resulting visuals are equally harrowing and gripping, and you just might need to watch a few times to fully digest what's going on. Check it out below.

So what if this number on the Hypem charts.. it’s still so good. Adventure Club , Canada’s finest dubstep exports, take on the tricky “Collect Call” from Metric ’s 2009 record, Fantasies. The hook works perfectly. The wobbly effects over Emily’s vocals works seamlessly.
I love Metric and I recently fell for Adventure Club (they won't accept my flowers!) so I receive this remix as an early Christmas present. The track features the keen drops, ample corrupted vocals, and scaled back dissonant harmonies characteristic of duo, ones that stand vis-a-vis a lot of what has come to be labeled dubstep (anyone hear of that guy Skrillex?). Never being one to shy away from a well placed build up, Metric slows it down with this one but still manages to satisfy.
