New video by Australia's Colours comes with atmospheric kaleidoscopic visuals. I've to admit I love the parts with only the skull a bit more, nevertheless they r some fine looking dudes. " Night Climb " is taken from their forthcoming Drip Haze 73, out via Marshall Teller Records on February 27. The release will be a limited run of 250 records. Colours - Facebook Colours - Bandcamp

Check out this stately, slumberous rock number, the title-track from London band Colours , part of a three-track 73 due out on Marshall Teller next month. It's a limited run of only 250 vinyl presses, with a bonus MP3 thrown in for good measure. (via SEXBEAT ) COLOURS // Drip Haze Colours are also playing a couple of good-sounding gigs imminently: supported by Crushed Beaks at The Drop on Saturday 28 January, and then a free-entry release-celebration night, with help from Dignan [...]
Naysayers ( Mr Guardian and Mr NME, we're looking at you ) are proclaiming the days of guitar bands are over. My question for you though, is exactly how much post-dub, chill wave, day-glo, lo-fi ambience can you take? There's certainly times when digging your teeth into something that offers a little bit more for the persistent listeners is well worth the effort, I mean heck, one of my favourite EPs of 2010 was Glass Vaults' Glass EP . Having said that though, an injection of instantly accessible energy every now can be just as warranted. For those of [...]
the GROUPLOVE just slayed it!! watch the American indie rockers take their TONGUE TIED and COLOURS mp3s to the JIMMY KIMMEL's stage fnx. wotyougot
Like so many artists I post about, Young Liars has been sitting just under my radar for some time. A number of months have come and gone since the Vancouver outfit self-released their Homesick Future EP, and while the name "Young Liars" has since seemed to be cropping up often on other blogs I frequent, it wasn't a name I ever bothered to investigate on my own. As these things tend to go, it was my own loss, but the band's now offering up a second chance to get reacquainted, having recently signed to Nettwerk [...]

Facebook / coloursmusic.tumblr.com/ London's Colours gathered quite a bit of blog hype towards the back end of last, unsurprisingly it passed me by and it wasn't until the press release for their forthcoming single that they hypnotised my ears. The four piece are set to release their debut 7" via Marshall Teller Records on February 27th, limited to just 250 copies the three track vinyl (with an additional digital track) is available to pre-order here . Lead track "Drip Haze" runs at just over six minutes and is quite [...]
Looks like I just found myself a new jam to play the shit out of. Found this remake of "In My Mind" by Feenixpawl & Ivan Gough (official version still unreleased, should be out soon) from a teaser for Cosmic Opera , a six hour opera being put on at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC by none other than Axwell (talk about branching out) kicking off February 24th. Axwell is in my opinion easily the most talented of the SHM trio and I would be very interested to see his take on an opera, which I'm sure will be [...]
GrandMarnier and tEPr should be worried, apparently they've been replaced in Yelle but Oxford's Electro noise terrorists Coloureds . I don't think anyone is going to make it out of this alive. Blue and Yellow apply extra helping of chainsaw synths and machine gun percussion to the track that growls away in the background like an angry cyborg beast while Julie's vocals carry on seemingly unaware of their fate. Once again Couloureds manage to sit in the middle of the 'bastard hard Electro' and 'actually got a groove' ven diagram as their track strides onto [...]
by teepoo Check out this lovely new single from Vancouver's Young Liars, who are recently signed to Nettwerk Records . The track Colours is definitely an appropriate way to introduce the band to you as it both illustrates their personality and instrumentally colourful song. The single is part of an upcoming EP titled Homesick Future which will be out February 21st, 2012. Young Liars - Colours (Album Version) by nettwerkmusicgroup [...]

Click image to download full album Sounds like: Colour, The Plastics, Arctic Monkeys "The Wombats - Walking Disasters" What's so good? Some time earlier this year The Wombats released their sophomore album This Modern Glitch . This morning I noticed that the song "Walking Disasters" had climbed up the top of Hype Machine's popular list , courtesy of In All Caps . It was the first time I'd heard the track, but I [...]

We fear we could lose readers by admitting the following guilty pleasure. It's a secret we harbour most privately, for the shame bears down heavy upon our shoulders, as it's weight is like carrying a cross through the desert sands. However, we feel that today's post is an appropriate time to reveal this most clouded of hidden delights, as it leads us to the aesthetic shared by today's recommendation. You would never guess it from knowing us, but, gulp, we have a secret adoration of the tune Wicked Game , by Chris Isaak . [...]
COLOURS : Drip Haze Great, big rushing waves of sweet guitars stream down your ears the first time you listen to COLOURS . Of a similar loud, euphoric quality to Crushed Beaks , this London group thrill on ' Drip Haze ', a positive statement made up of pulse-shifting drums and headrush guitar lines. The structure of it all is of immense quality, drifting perfectly between rough-edged blasts of noise and a lighter, more evolving refrain. The stimulant-enhanced cousin of ' Missing '; it's [...]

Three-parts Scottish and one-part Canadian sounds like a good indie-rock recipe to us and it's those ingredients that make up Cameo Colours . Two of the band - brothers Scott and Jack - have been playing music together in various bands for over ten years now, before the addition of Daniel on guitars and Danen on bass completed the line-up and Cameo Colours set to work on their debut EP that is available for free as of today. You can stream it on the bottom of the page here or help yourself to a download from their [...]

It's no secret around these parts that I'm of the mindset that Canberra's TV Colours can do absolutely no wrong. Above, you should check out the video for their preposertously catchy anthem TV Glow . Besides having some footage of one of the most hilarious shows (that dinosaurs one where the baby goes "I'm da baby!"), it's an absolute stunner of a pop song that's burried deep beneath twisting and convulsing layers of fuzz and distortion, and of course, it's loud as fuck. Grab one of my favorite TV Colours jams [...]
