OK, we're admittedly a few days late on this, but earlier this week the internet was abuzz as the Alabama Shakes stopped by TBS's Conan to make their late-night debut. The band, which you're going to be hearing about a lot in the coming weeks and months, will release their debut album Boys & Girls on April 10 via ATO Records. Just one day after the release of Be The Void , which is winning raves around HT headquarters, Dr. Dog visited Conan for a performance of That Old Black Hole on the TBS late night show. Dr. Dog is out supporting their seventh LP, Be The Void , (out now via ANTI-Records and can be streamed here ) and to that end, the group dropped by Conan for a rendition of "That Old Black Hole". One of me fave bands of the 012 are the ALABAMA SHAKES so it's quite jolz to see em perform on the Conan O'Brien last PM. THeir televised performance hasn't gone digital yet, but the soul rock n rollers were kind enough to do a innernet-exclusive performance of I AIN'T THE SAME .

In a fantastic turn of events, Conan O'Brien made the fantastic choice of booking Alabama Shakes for last night's episode of Conan . Looking good for his old age, the RINGO STARR took to the Conan O'Brien HQs last PM for a quick chat with the ginger-foxxy-he-host and to perform a coupla live numbers. The BEATLES former drummed revealed that after so many decades he still gets stage fright pre a performance, although still manages to smash it up. Last night Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. made their late night TV debut with a visit to Conan O'Brien. Fans of dorkily comedic things, take note: Nerd-rock veterans They Might Be Giants were on Conan last night, and it's hard to imagine a more generally simpatico host. On the show, they played the recent track "When Will You Die." And as a web exclusive, they also pulled out a noisy version of the 1988 relic "Ana Ng," a song that you just know got major play in the SNL writers' room when Conan was working there. Last night Conan O'brien welcomed the company of Wilco as musical guests for a performance of the title track of their latest album, The Whole Love. As well as that performance which was broadcast for the viewers at home the studio and people willing to dig a little deeper were treated to a web exclusive performance of "Dawned On Me".
