For a self-professed Ghetto Bass advocate more commonly associated with Affie Yusuf than Austra ; his longstanding counterpart Sinden than moody Bristolians Seasfire, Save Me is quite something. Joshua Harvey, aka The Count , aka Hervé releases his latest full-length, The Art Of Disappearing , this coming spring and whilst house has been his bread and club his butter since the later naughties, if Save Me is anything to go by then he is to sheath the breakfast knives and instead pick up a directly incisive proclivity for those more intensely affecting strands of electronica. Tony Quattro! Releasing stellar remix after remix [check out his take on Rock the Boat] and even better originals, TQ is on the top of his game this year! His recent EP "Out on the Floor" on Bad Taste produced one of my favourite songs of the year in 'Doubt'. This mix pretty much sums up my taste in tunes at the moment. It starts out slow with some groovy housey tips and then goes hard into the club with some Ballroom and Jersey in the tail end. Big thanks to Tony Quattro for [...]

It’s the second day of Bingley Music Live ’11 , the first of two paying days, but at £35 for the Saturday and Sunday, no one’s really complaining. It’s a far cry from neighbouring Leeds Festival as the 15,000 descend back on Myrtle Park, Bingley, readying themselves for a day of sunshine and music. Due to the excess amount of people arriving in the area, trains are pushed to their limit on the arrivals front and as such, my first train of two for the day was delayed and I managed [...]
With just a few short days to go before Chew The Fat! at Cable, the Siren Dipity boys have produced a sensational mix. Lolak VS Radar VS Justanyguy hit you with a triple whammy, the tunes of Justanyguy being spliced and diced in between cuts from Boy8Bit, Count & Sinden, Spoon & Tong, Crookers, Diplo, [...]
[via oldworldprimitives] vacation. thanks 4 everything albany. thanks 4 nothing. c u l8r. // bambounou - alpha [zippyshare] mmmmm more french bass. you can always use some new french bass. // anti-g - a hype up system [zippyshare] this is weird. it's called "bubbling house", and while it seems crazy, it's also pretty lo-fi to be in the club, with virtually no bassline. but man, it's fun. // the
We posted another remix of The Count & Sinden feat Mystery Jets' track "After Dark". Here we have a very interesting remix by the Chilean, Belgium based producer/dj Ramon Tapia. (Ramon Tapia remix)

Lucky us. Herve and Sinden are giving away the remixes of MEGA MEGA MEGA that didn't make the final cut for the album. You may have seen the Krystal Klear remix that I posted the other day, but now with added Ramon Tapia and Urchins mixes. DOP! The Count & Sinden 'Mega Mega Remix' bonus tracks I think the Ramon Tapia one could have been snuck on the album, it's pretty excellent! ...

Having emerged from a smoke filled warehouse to deliver their acclaimed debut album, the genre mashing masterpiece Mega Mega Mega , The Count & Sinden take their work back underground with Mega Mega Remix , a completely new version of the album remixed by some of today’s most exciting new producers. The original’s riotous mish-mash of global beats, bass, rave stabs and massive pop hooks was one of 2010’s most exciting debuts featuring guest turns from the likes of Katy B, Mystery Jets, Rye Rye and Bashy. Now Mega Mega Remix repeats [...]

Apparently it's never too late to release a remix album. While I would tend to disagree with that assertion, The Count & Sinden do not share my beliefs, shamelessly releasing a star-studded album of reworkings from the likes of Canblaster, Dave Nada, XXXY and some other people. I have to admit, 'Mega Mega Mega' was a pretty solid house album; it straddled the boundaries between Garage, Techno, Dubstep, Electro and Hip-Hop and they did it pretty damn well. Of course, they're playing a dangerous game, dancing so closely to the edge of banality, but this remix [...]

I've been listening to a lot of music in the sky with diamonds lately. The stream of aural gems has come from the likes of Memory Tapes , Gang Gang Dance , Bon Iver , New Buffalo , Four Tet and you get the idea. Then I stand back and look myself in the mirror. I don't know who I am anymore. I wonder at what point I stopped caring about bangers. Uh-huh. I've tried to change this with The Count and Sinden . [...]

The Count & Sinden have lined up a formidable army of producers to remix their "Mega Mega Mega" debut album and a release date of August 1st has been set. Included in the line up are brilliant remixes from Hot City , Lone , Canblaster and more. Our favourite of the bunch though to be Krystal Klear's disco'd up rework of "After Dark". Keeping some of the Mystery Jets' vocal intact, he's sprinkled some of his magic over the track and unleashed a summery monster. [...]

John Roman - you've seen the name before, he's a Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde of some sorts. You may have first spotted him holding the dancefloor hostage with his previous thrashy electro productions, or maybe you just discovered the guy after hearing his laidback pool house alter ego Loopjack . The man goes both ways, but when the night falls and the air begins to cool in the midst of a humid summer in Toronto John throws on the darker cape to further melt some faces. And one of the many tracks he deploys is the B-side [...]

IT'S FRIDAY. Enough with the deep house, Friday deserves some fresh electro stylings to supply you with the beats you need to power your weekend.First up, there's a new deadmau5 track that's hit the internet this week which was expertly ripped in good quality from his set at Amnesia, Ibiza. This track is a true return to form for Joel, a man who we at Bright & Shiny despise for his hands-off
