One of my favorite Brooklyn bands, Gunfight!, recently released an album called Frontier Land. If you've had the pleasure of seeing these guys live then you'll recognize most of the songs on the album. The recording does a pretty good job of capturing the essence of their live shows. Yesterday Gunfight played Littlefield for After The Jump Fest. They were awesome as always. We were at the release show for Spanish Prisoners ' new EP, Los Angeles Guitar Dream ( our review here ), on Saturday. It was our first time seeing front-man Leo Maymind play with a full band, which we enjoyed. While listening, it occurred to us that, live, there are casual hints of Neil Young and Crazy Horse to their sound.
