Sad news, indeed. Spent countless hours in there during college. And it's always on my list of must-visits on my trips back home.
Modest Mouse play a 25 minute set in September 2001 in front of Criminal Records in Atlanta. The songs they play are Paper Thin Walls, Third Planet, Trailer Trash, Lives, Diggin' Holes (later released as an Ugly Casanova track) and I Came as a Rat. A sad day for Toronto's music scene: my all time favourite music store— Criminal Records —announced via Twitter and MySpace that they will be closing at the end of July. I am sure that more announcements/in-stores (?)/farewells (?) will come in the next few of weeks. For now, I want to give an early thank you to Paul and Josh + Criminal Records!
