Another week closer to Christmas. It's almost here. Family get-togethers, presents, and pretty lights all make for a wondrous time of year. In that spirit we continue on with Free For All - the feature where all the music contained within is either free MP32s or Soundcloud streams from bands who would just love to have your ear. I haven't had time to get to these folks and write about them for the most part (or in some cases, I just plain wouldn't), so here they are all in one tidy post for your ears... Volume IV's tracks: [...]

The album art of the new Crystal Castles album features Samuel Aranda's photograph of a woman holding her son, who is suffering from tear gas. Not only does this dark, horrifying image represent the overarching feeling of bleakness found in the music on this LP, but its use of color and blur also correlate to the general sound of the album. III does not immediately attack you, but surrounds you slowly until you can see nothing; it exists in a world of it's own, which is gloomier, hazier, and [...]

The wait is over, and prior to its release you can enjoy the brand new album from Crystal Castles . It was earlier in the year in sunny Manchester with a performance at Parklife Festival that the ball began to roll and people began to get excited for new material. At that show in June they performed some brand new material for the crowd, and just 4 months later we have an entire album to wrap our ears around! Check it out below and let us now what you think. Also look out for it [...]
With Crystal Castles ' highly anticipated album (III) leaking, some of the album's knee-jerk highlights are starting to hit the web. One of the strongest of the early favorites is "Sad Eyes," a dusty, post-apoctalyptic nightclub anthem that recalls the best of their first album, and not so much the surprising attention to melody their second album wielded. (III) is out next Tuesday, November 13. Read more articles like " New: Crystal Castles - "Sad Eyes" " on Pretty Much Amazing [...]
It's almost the end of the week, and it seems like things have been slowed down quite a bit in the music world. But, there's still been a few great hits floating about, especially this new jam from Crystal Castles . This new single is definitely more of a slow burn, but I think it encapsulates the growth of the band of the last few years, no longer merely intent upon banging out in-your-face electronic jams. You can find this tune on III, the group's upcoming album, which is [...]

Listen to “Affection”, taken from Crystal Castles’ forthcoming album (III) which drops on 11.12 worldwide.
With (III) coming out on November 12, Crystal Castles have let loose another track from the coffers. "Affection"––as the title suggests––is a bit more delicate than your typical CC track. Though we're sure the duo can figure out how to make this track creep via obscure 70s horror flicks , "Affection" is all atmosphere and style, so much that it makes us feel like it should be on Johnny Jewel's After Dark compilation . With its unnerving title and its recognizable nerve raking vibes, "Plague" had already gotten our eyes pealed and ears alert for more of Crystal Castles mysterious musical potion. Our waiting has come to an end. Announcing their upcoming LP, the duo just released another track in the same doomsday vein. " Wrath of God " starts out with rather optimistic notes before a droning synth comes in to introduce a rapid beat - and the trademark childlike vocals echoing in the distance.

During the summer, Crystal Castles revealed that they would release a new album by September, but now that the month is coming to a close, there is no third album from the Toronto duo to be seen. That all changed this morning, though, when a press release announced that the pair's third LP, (III) , will be released digitally on November 5th and physically on November 6th. The press release also came with the official album artwork (pictured above), a striking picture that was originally taken by Spanish photographer Samuel Aranda in Yemen. [...]

Not nearly as exciting to me as "Plague", but still an interesting concoction by the Crystal Castles duo. They use their familiar Nintendo sounds and distant vocals for "Wrath Of God" and it's enough to still induce a drug-lust. I used to say I didn't get Crystal Castles' music when their debut came out, but now I am highly anticipating III .
Crystal Castles today announced that their new album III will be out November 5. They also shared the second track we've heard so far from the new album (the first being "Plague" back in July). Listen to “Wrath Of God” below: Here are the duo's updated tour dates: NEW NORTH AMERICAN TOUR DATES ADDED. 09/27 more
Crystal Castles drops a new jam, teasing toward what should be the band's third full-length album-which may be titled III . Again, like the track " Plague " that was dropped earlier this year, vocalist Alice Glass' vocals are obscured by a low mix and loads of effects. A driving house beat brings the tempo, and bright synths swirl with hurricane force over it all. The image paired with the video above seems to be a woman in a niqab holding a man who is going through some sort of painful trauma-whether it be emotional or physical.

Indie electronic duo Crystal Castles drops a new song that I'm guessing will show up on the next album they release, which should be out later this year. WATCH THE REVIEW

Last month during their rip-roaring set at The Parklife Weekender in Manchester, Crystal Castles dropped a bomb in the form of a brand new track called "Plague". Now a studio version has hit the web and you can check out the explosive track in all its glory right here. It may appear on their highly anticipated third album which is expected later in the year. Hit play and let us know what you think.

There's not a lot we know about the forthcoming return of the avant-pop duo known as Crystal Castles [ Twitter / Facebook ]. There is a possibility that the album will yet again be self-titled (as it's sort of become their 'thing'), will be out before the end of the year, and will feature this cracking (free!) new song called Plague . We couldn't possibly comment, but the duo (Alice Glass and Ethan Katz) did do some work on the album in Germany earlier in the year. At least it's not all speculation: the new song is a five-minute opus [...]
Canadian indie electronic duo Crystal Castles have a new track out titled "Plague." Stream or download it via the widget above. While I'm not completely in love with the track, I do like it more than the first song the project dropped from its last album. I wonder if the forthcoming LP attached to this new track will be self-titled as well. Hmmmm...
Stream: Crystal Castles - “Plague” Ok.

Alice Glass is one looney broad. Crystal Castles are overdue for new music and today we get the first taste of it with "Plague". What do you think? I know their music is way the fuck out there, but they manage to make a few really exciting tracks each album. Is this one of those tunes? CRYSTAL CASTLES - PLAGUE
