It's another new video from Crystal Castles . This time for their song "Sad Eyes." There's a lot about this video that actually captures the feeling of seeing the band live. Over the weekend, fans were delighted as Crystal Castles unleashed their official video for “Sad Eyes”. In a matter of minutes the video generated an online frenzy, resulting in more than 175k views on youtube, 15k likes + 3k shares on facebook alone. “Sad Eyes” the single will be released in the U.S on 02.18 & the Canadian duo will be making a welcomed return this spring starting at Ultra Music Festival in March + finishing up at The Governers Ball on Randall’s Island in NYC in June (tour dates below). Crystal Castles take us back to the early '90s with a VHS-style video for "Sad Eyes", which looks like it would fit perfectly on the MTV video rotation of yore. Using footage from recent performances by the duo, the Rob Hawkins and Marc Pannozzo-directed clip isn't the creepiest thing Crystal Castles have ever put out, but the ghostly, echoing voice of Alice Glass pairs well with the visuals on offer. Crystal Castles' new video for " Sad Eyes ," a song from their recent album (III) , intersperses footage of the group's frantic, strobe-lit live shows with scenes of people with pantyhose masks making out with each other and Alice Glass doing... something with dolls. There have been some screenshots of this video floating around the web for a little while now, but Crystal Castles just unveiled the video for "Sad Eyes" . The track is one of the biggest from their latest album (III) , and like some of their other videos it's fittingly dim and VHS-themed, distorted and jumpy. For this one, the duo took a surprising approach, blending heartwarming footage of baby animals with silly memes and Buzzfeed-worthy bloopers.
