On February 21st, Omaha indie rockers Cursive will be releasing their seventh studio album I Am Gemini , an album that focuses on the famed astrological twins Gemini. Premiering on Stereogum , you can hear yet another track from the forthcoming album titled "Wowowow," which sees the band venturing into more experimental territory than previously known for. I must not have been paying close attention, because I didn't know that Cursive's new album I Am Gemini was a concept album about Gemini. Don't forget that Cursive have a tour coming up - including an April 8th date in Lexington with Cymbals Eat Guitars.
Cursive are set to release I Am Gemini in just 3 weeks. Today, the band have released the third full track from it. "Wowowow" is easily the best of the 3 tracks released thus far in anticipation of the new record. Full of jagged, angular riffage the band casually sprawl through some experimental instrumentation before lending way to a final minute of eerie ambience.
