We don't normally post theater events BUT Victoria's Atomic Vaudeville theater troop have set up shop in Vancouver for their latest production, the musical, Ride The Cyclone. We can't say enough good things, and highly recommend seeing it. It is in it's final week in Vancouver before heading to Whitehorse then Toronto. Full details at their website .
If you don't know Dumme Jungs , it is probably because you live in a box. Let's change that. Berlin is home to the best techno, electro, and minimal dance music in the world. This new remix by the duo is a brilliant mix of classic house samples, chopped up with some electro fuzz and a garnish of dirt. You'll surly exclaim, OH MY GOD ITS TECHNO MUSIC ! We first discovered Dumme Jungs by word of mouth, the same way you found your favorite DJ or producer; now it's time for the word to get out. Germany [...]

You can follow the link below to grab the track and embed it on your Facebook page, website, wherever. Even better the album is out tomorrow (June 2) on CD in Australia and digitally everywhere! E arly this morning when I read about the 6.3 earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand, a terrible chill ran through my blood. Could it be true? Are we in the final days? Will 2012 really be the end of the line for all of us? It was the second major earthquake to shake the area in five months. Add to that recent devastating tremors in Chile; terrible fires last summer in Melbourne, Australia, flooding this summer in the east, and cyclones to the north; winter snow all over the U.S. and Europe, and the forecast begins to [...]

The storm of the century reported to have been the size of the United States hit Australia last night around midnight shattering entire towns, pummelling the coast and churning across the country Thursday, terrifying locals but miraculously caused no confirmed fatalities. We are glad our prayers for this great country, musically, and in every other way, were answered! The Kinks - Australia
'SOMEONE LEFT THE BACK DOOR OPEN AND TECHNO CREPT BACK IN' SPECIAL SET UP SYSTEM Factory (sublimation mix) IS retouch (Big Time international - 1991) Un des mes "all time fave" (categorie Dimitri-Boccaccio)a peine retouche pour qu'il soit un peu plus facile a jouer. J'aime bien le fait qu'un track tellement "blanc" en vienne a sonner un peu "caraibes". [...]

I love going to music festivals. I also love free. Free music festivals within a 30mi radius of me = no-brainer. This was my second free festival this summer ( see Tom Williams’ Siren Festival Review ). God bless you, failing economy! The Host (C+) WFNX seemed to be a little all over the place. They didn’t get back to us in time for press pass info, so I tried to get one on my own. The poor girl at the [...]
(Seriously, The Native Americans Called Coney Island "The Land Without Shadows" And I Can See Why) I've never been to Coney Island before, nor have I ever attended Siren Festival,... [[This is an excerpt. The pages look just silly here, you know? Why not just hit up the article, homes? We'd appreciate that!]]
T-FREE-LP001 "Sourcream Remixes" Released 2009-06-10 In 2006, a team of two producers from the Trio-Music crew made the tune "Sourcream", released on vinyl later in the same year. Since then it has been remixed by quite a number of producers. And even though the duo behind the original has split in 2007, some of these remixes were just too good to remain unreleased. Thus, a remix album on T-Files was planned in 2008. But it did not come out as planned because one remix was not yet finished and the project was put to a halt, waiting [...]

Cyclone was a thrash band from Belgium that formed in the early-80's and spent a few years releasing demos and a couple of compilation tracks before their debut full-length, "Brutal Destruction", was released in 1986 by Roadrunner Records. It seems that many (Most?) fans of the band largely prefer ...

New Pornographers’ and Sadies alumni Neko Case has officially blown my mind… again. My first solo introduction to this brilliant artist was 2002’s Blacklisted – which, fyi, is still a regular on my iPod playlist. Until that album, I was in fervent country-lovin’ denial. Fast-forward seven years, and we have the evolution that is Middle [...]

Neko Case is set to release her new album in the beginning of March. It's called Middle Cyclone and it's on the ANTI- label. Guest performers include M. Ward, Garth Hudson, Sarah Harmer, and members of The New Pornographers, Los Lobos, Calexico, The Sadies, Visqueen, Lilys, and Giant Sand.

SomaCow Media Network is proud to present SomaCow , brought to you by Chef Scott. The man makes some incredible meat, and we thank him for his call in from the Gun and Knife and Nose Fireball Show . In this hour, we discussed our various misspent youths (what is a yout?), the need to have bullets and things that shoot bullets, and a reader's question for you, our audience. What is it about the 8-bit and 16-bit era of games that continues [...]
Cyclone is a quite active newcomer from northern Germany. He came from playing guitar to producing and deejaying Drum & Bass around the millenium, and today he hosts a bi-monthly event on two floors entitled "Hight Tension" and a weekly webradioshow under the same flag. Also, he has recently started his own netlabel "Anxiety Disorder". 320' mp3s: http://www.trio-music.de/mp3/3 20/T-FREE-3EP025_1__Cyclone_-L ets_Get_Ill.... http://www.trio-music.de/mp3/3 20/T-FREE-3EP025_2__Cyclone_-T urning_Scien... http://www.trio-music.de/mp3/3 20/T-FREE-3EP025_3__Cyclone_-A rcanoid.mp3 .rar archive: http://www.trio-music.de/mp3/3 20/T-FREE-3EP025.rar
1958 GL Crockett, Look Out Mabel. GL Crockett, Did You Ever Love Somebody. The Cyclones, Bullwhip Rock. All right, back to business. Let's finish off the '50s, yes? Hopefully before the springtime comes. George L. "Davy" Crockett was a black rockabilly musician--he was born in 1929 in Carollton, Mississippi, and had moved to the Washington DC area by the late '50s. His complete oeuvre
