Pukkelpop has revealed the preliminary lineup for its 2013 festival, which takes place August 15th - 17th in Kiewit, Belgium. The lineup includes Eminem, Nine Inch Nails, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, The Prodigy, Slayer, The Knife, The xx, Deftones, Alabama Shakes, Franz Ferdinand, Bat For Lashes, TNGHT, Local Natives, Foals, Opeth, Quicksand, Solange, Danny Brown, Fucked Up, CHVRCHES, Daughter, Poliça, Mount Kimbie, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, SKATERS, Toddla T, and Bosnian Rainbows, among others. This was my first Bonnaroo experience. I seriously doubt it will be my last. Arriving in sweltering heat, with surprising little traffic on the first day of performances. I realized that I'd forgotten to re-stock on sunscreen, so what I'd brought had better last. Nashville was abuzz with thousands of additional out of city/state tourists for the CMA's, something to do everywhere. Honky Tonk's spilling out, not a stark contrast to the oasis of Manchester, Tennessee's grounds where Bonnaroo would be held. Bonnaroo is up there amongst the world's best, and in North America its main opposition seem to be Coachella and Lollapalooza.
