Kanrocksas has revealed the lineup for its 2013 festival, which takes place June 28th - 29th at the Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, KS. The festival took a hiatus last summer following its inaugural edition in 2011 . Fool's Gold Records' frontman A-trak just released the highly anticipated video for his single Piss Test. The track was originally released with only Juicy J and Danny Brown providing vocals, however upon its re-release on the Foolie's Mixtape Jim Jones, Flatbush Zombies, and El-P added versus while Flosstradamus added some trap to the beat. A-Trak's "Piss Test" has been remixed, because the original featuring Juicy J and Danny Brown apparently was not wild enough. Jim Jones, Flatbush Zombies, El-P and Flosstradamus hop on for the very intoxicated and "trippy" remix. The whole track is nuts, but El-P's fury on the last verse makes everyone else look like amateurs. Check the video below. Following the death of Beastie Boys co-founder Adam Yauch, producer Tommie Sunshine made a heavy statement via Twitter : "I believe atrak is the only one who is truly capable to make the definitive beastieboys tribute." How do you take a big, unapologetic drug anthem and turn it up a few notches? Well, you could always do more drugs, but we can't recommend that. Another route: enlist Flosstradamus , Jim Jones , Flatbush Zombies , and El-P to jump on a tremendous trap beat and rap about drugs. A-Trak does exactly that on the "Piss Test" remix. Juicy J 's simple, memorable chorus remains, but the new guests replace the verses from Juice and Danny Brown . Would've been nice to get a new Danny verse, [...]
From the Fool's Gold comp that's coming out next week, come's a remix of one of the jams of the year. Jim Jones, Flatbush Zombies, and El-P jump on the track with Juicy J and the whole thing is re-cut by Flosstradamus. Do I wish that Danny Brown had been kept on the track? Obviously.
