During Danny Brown 's show last night at the Scala in London, the crowd was treated to a surprise appearance from one of our other favorite MCs here at Potholes. It turns out that Action Bronson was in town, too, and was subbed in by his " 1 Train " cohort for an impromptu performance. The larger-than-life Flushing Queens native rocked the stage doing his  Saaab Stories single " Strictly 4 My Jeeps " with some help from Brown on the ad libs. I hope that this means we'll hear these two on more tracks together. [...]

Speaking of Danny Brown , the Detroit native took a trip to the U.K. recently to perform what were surely some live-as-hell shows. He also stopped by the offices of Tim Westwood, who invited the Old rapper to spit some bars over (what else?) "Numbers on the Board". I'll say it once and I'll say it again: I'm not usually a fan of stuff like this, if only because it tends to be trend-hopping bullshit. In Pitchfork's Latest Over/Under , Danny Brown touches on a number of hysterical topics like cereal, North Korea and soft core porn. Oh, and Andrew's internet is down right now, but he'd be happy that Brown touches on the subject of cats. All-in-all, this is just another interest tidbit from Mr. Brown, who never seems to have any trouble holding our attention. Even when he speaks on the most ridiculous of issues.

Danny Brown caught up with the folks at  FUSE during his time at the Sasquatch! Music Festival to offer up some new quotables about music in general, performing in front of crowds unfamiliar with his work, collaborations on his new album, and the time he spent in jail. The last bit has perhaps the best moment, as the Detroit native reflects on the eight months behind bars. Eighteen months ago, I caught Danny Brown live for the first time. Opening for Das Racist, Brown played to a half-interested crowd of about 30. Last Friday, the Hybrid took the same stage as the headliner to a raucous crowd that had to be in the hundreds. It was representative of a rapid ascendancy following nearly a decade of relative anonymity. So the chipped-tooth smile on the face of the thirty-two year-old artist represented not only the ecstasy of rocking a sweaty, soaked and “turnt-up” crowd, but also a sense of relief that this finally his time. Being the No. 1 Danny Brown fan site (not really but kind of), we are beyond-excited to see the live clips keep rolling in with the Detroit rapper debuting new tracks. The latest premiere came last night in Chicago, where he performed and later hung out with Chief Keef and his boys. Brown decided to treat the crowd to "Dip", a "N***as in Paris"-referencing and wild-sounding joint. Man,  Old can't get here soon enough and here's hoping it still drops in August. Thankfully for us, someone was filming his Coachella set and caught the Bruiser Brigade leader running through "Dope Song". The Rustie -produced track was previously premiered (sort of) by Hudson Mohawke earlier this year, but now we're getting the banger straight from Danny Brown himself. Sounds insane, no? When writing about certain rappers, there are immediate qualities that are difficult not to point to in a description. There's the flow, the way the MC rides (or doesn't ride) the beat, and perhaps the most powerful element: his or her voice. XXL Freshman ScHoolboy Q made a pretty huge announcement today in an interview with the magazine. While it mostly centers on his OxyMoron debut, there's also a piece about an apparent super-group that just might come to fruition. When we put together our list of the most anticipated albums of 2013, there were two that easily stood out. We've already written about one of them extensively— Earl Sweatshirt's  Doris —and it's now time to give some love to the LP that actually topped the list. We're pretty excited to bring you the news that Toronto's Jesse Futerman has some huge collaborations coming with some fellow PIMB favorites. I just chopped it up with the burgeoning producer and he revealed he is working with Earl Sweatshirt and Danny Brown . Yeah. From what I've been told, Futerman's project with Earl with be a full-on EP featuring some self-described "joke raps" from the producer to boot. Futerman has also been added as a member of the Odd Future collective. Hopefully we get to hear a preview of the effort soon. [...]

We've been dying to hear new music from Danny Brown , especially after he revealed the producer lineup for his upcoming  Old album. And from what we're being told, we just might have our first preview today by way of an unnamed track that Hudson Mohawke played at a recent show.
