It's no secret that I love heavy, shoegazing music. That's probably the reason I found myself drawn to Waiting For The Rain To Fall, the first full-length by Under Electric Light (AKA Danny Provencher) when it appeared in my inbox. Provencher marries heavenly dream-pop with a sort of late-80s instrumentation, resulting in a swirling, airy electro-pop haze. "Someone Somewhere" sounds like the product of Slowdive and New Order meeting up in a liqueur factory.
