Minneapolis, MN collective Dark Dark Dark put out one of stronger releases late last year with their Wild Go album. In another late discovery, I also recently came across 'Daydreaming' by Dark Dark Dark . The tune is quiet, pure, dark, focused, and beautiful. I first heard about Sleepover Shows when I spent a week on the road with Peter Wolf Crier and they recorded a session in Boston. I'm so impressed with the collection of videos and have been checking in regularly to see what's new. Today I was excited to see Dark Dark Dark 's session which included a new track called "Without You." It's got that romantic waltzy/jazzy structure to it. Really beautiful.

Dark Dark Dark last night at Golden West in Baltimore. Like I tweeted last night their set was so lovely. If they're coming thru your town make sure you catch them; you won't regret it. They're playing the Red Palace in DC tonight. What I suggest you do is catch Lands & Peoples, Holy Spirits and Gem Club at Red Onion on 18th St NW then pop over to the Red Palace. Long for a Tuesday night but hey, you won't regret it.

Minneapolis-based chamber folk group Dark Dark Dark is playing tonight at Brighton Music Hall. Their most recent release, 20102s Wild Go is full of lush and moody tunes tied together with frontwoman Nona Marie Invie's captivating voice. They definitely need to be heard live. They're sharing the stage with A Hawk and a Hacksaw and Pillars and Tongues. Doors are at 8 p.m., show starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $14.
