Warner Bros. Pictures is planning on showing a six-minute prologue for The Dark Knight Rises with Paramount Pictures' early release of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol in IMAX theaters on December 16 (the film has its general release on Dec. 21). The prologue will only screen at 70mm IMAX screens and not at digital IMAX locations. The plan matches the screening situation in December 2007 where The Dark Knight attached its opening sequence to IMAX prints of I Am Legend. The Dark Knight Rises opens in theaters on July 20, 2012. The Dark Knight has taken over Pittsburgh.

First there was Julie Newmar, then Eartha Kitt and Lee Meriwether. Both Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry had their turns and now Oscar-nominated Anne Hathaway is next in line to play Catwoman. The antihero has been one of Batman's most enduring love interests in the comic book series. Here is the first official production still of Hathaway dressed as Catwoman for Christopher Nolan's third Batman film. In the image the actress has her hair tied back in a ponytail, sports black goggles and a skintight black jumpsuit while riding what appears to be the Batpod. [...]

Here's Anne Hathaway as Catwoman/Selina Kyle riding the Batpod. Hopefully Nolan was smart enough to at least give her a hood with cat ears at some point in the movie, because really that's the character's defining look. Otherwise, it's just Hathaway in a tight leather outfit, which we're totally fine with. Her reveal is less exciting than Bane's. Asking diehard Batman fans to wait until July 20, 2012 for The Dark Knight Rises to hit silver screens is like waiting for the day after eternity to arrive. Every little morsel, tidbit or snippet of information they can get their hands on, they're taking it and running to Gotham City Limits and beyond. Everyone gawked at the release of The Dark Knight in 2008, and now we can only hope this one will live up to its precursor. Pictures released the teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan's highly-anticipated The Dark Knight Rises in theaters with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 and the trailer is now officially online. Written by David Goyer and Jonathan Nolan, the July 20, 2012 release stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple, Josh Pence, Daniel Sunjata, Nestor Carbonell, Matthew Modine, Tom Conti, Joey King, Brett Cullen, Chris Ellis and Josh Stewart.
