David Byrne and St. Vincent , aka Annie Clark, aren't too fond of Hurricane Sandy. The force of nature nixed their plans to appear on Letterman Tuesday night, and according to a recent newsletter from Byrne, he'll be climbing "11 flights with a flashlight up a dark stairway" until New York City gets full power and working water again. As a plush theatre intended for musicals and plays rather than concerts, the venue was a huge hindrance. There was a lot of brass at Saturday night's concert featuring David Byrne & St. Vincent at the Greek Theatre — including a little from Annie Clark (aka St. Vincent), who confessed that the first time she was exposed to Byrne's music was via the movie "Revenge of Nerds." All understandable, given that she's 30 and the Talking Heads frontman is 60. Their show, which featured the majority of songs from their collaborative album "Love This Giant" as well as retooled selections from their individual catalogs, was riveting stuff.
