The Dead Leaves are a new band to us, but we're liking this video for their debut single  If The Shoe Fits (which has a definite feel of The National about it in the vocal stylings).  They used some old footage from a 1920s silent film that was spliced together by director Chris Pahlow to create the video.  Creepy or beautiful? Melbourne, Australia's Indie-Alternative quartet The Dead Leaves are currently offering the track "Harm", from their upcoming album Cities On The Sea , as a free download. "Harm" lives creatively somewhere between The National and Joy Division, and showcases lead singer Matt Joe Gow's versatility as he lifts from an impressively melodic deeper register in the verses to a high-soaring pitch during the track's infectious refrain.
