Longtime Everybody Taste favorites Luna have digitally remastered and released the LPs Romantica, Rendezvous and the 2002 EP Close Cover Before Striking over on Bandcamp . Last year, the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh set out to find musical accompaniment for 13 of the artist's most famous screen tests (including Nico, Lou Reed, Edie Sedgwick). Over the weekend, Dean Wareham and Britta Phillips played a couple of shows in Asia (Taipei and Hong Kong) in which the pair performed songs from the back catalogue of Galaxie 500 , the band fronted by Wareham that came to indie rock prominence during the late eighties. Dean & Britta This was my first trip to XOYO. Another basement venue in London. The show was for over 18s only so I managed to sneak in for the soundcheck so that (almost 14 year old) Adam could get a look at and listen to one of the bands that fill up my life. Dean Wareham has just posted a lengthy, photo-packed blog post about the recent tour of Europe. Head over to deanandbritta.com to read about Europe, lollipops, giant bulls and Mark E Smith. As I get older I find I have to explain to some younger fans (and even to my own bandmates) who Kojak was, due to the line "watching Kojak on my own" in "When Will You Come Home." So imagine my delight at finding these lollipops at a gas station in Spain.

Dean & Britta arrived on this side of the pond with just drummer Jason Lawrence meaning that they'd be performing the songs of Galaxie 500 in the format of Galaxie 500 - as a three piece.
