The roots of The Deep Vibration go back more than 3 years ago when Matt Campbell and Jeremy Fetzer met each other at college and began playing music together. Originally called The Attack!, the lineup eventually added Luke Herbert on drums and Adam Binder on bass, but the name was disputed and had to be changed. They approached Lou Reed after a performance at The Ryman and asked for advice. He dubbed them "Deep Vibration." They added a 'the' for good measure and the rest, as they say, is history. So WOXY has been playing a song called "Thanks to You" by The Deep Vibration quite a bit over the last few weeks.
