It may be folly for everyone's favourite grandad-rock outfit The National to put their new album out into the ether for streaming on the same day as Daft Punk drop theirs, but are you complaining? Come May 20th we will be receiving the sixth studio album, Trouble will find me , from the Brooklyn indie-rock band The National . This self-produced album will feature many guests including  Sufjan Stevens ,   Nona Marie Invie  from  Dark Dark Dark,   and  Richard Parry.  Having already released their first single " Demons ", today they have given us a more up tempo single in "Don't swallow the cap". The deep melancholy lyrics are there along with a beat you find yourself tapping to, making me excited for May 20th.

THE NATIONAL are coming back from their brief break to bring us their new album Trouble Will Find Me , and now great news has finally reached us! The band have released their first track from the album called ‘Demons’ and its typical brilliance from the brooding boys. The track has its thundering drums leading the deep, moody vocals and small harmonies pop in and out as the track flows through the first verse. The lyrics are pretty interesting too with lines like, “I’m going through an awkward phase,” THE NATIONAL [...]

Awesome stop-motion, mirrored video of a guy recreating the album art for The National's upcoming album, which also features a mirror. Oh, the song is awesome too. If you are a fan of the band, "Demons" won't disappoint. Like many songs from the band, this one is a grower. So, if at first it doesn't catch your ear, give it a few more listens. If it still doesn't stick, I'll give you a $1... but not actually.

The amount of distinguished artists featured on The National's upcoming LP, Trouble Will Find Me , is comparable to that of a Kanye West album. The album includes contributions from Sufjan Stevens, St. Vincent, Sharon Van Etten, Nona Marie Invie (from Dark Dark Dark ), Richard Reed Parry (from Arcade Fire) and more. These are some of the most respected contemporary musicians out there right now. But if anyone can pull together the talents of these artists and create a cohesive album, it's The National. Today's been a pretty huge day for fans of The National.
