Swedish folktronica outfit Detektivbyrån is a trio consisting of Anders "Flanders" Molin (accordion, music box), Jon Nils Emanuel Ekström (drums, sound box, bells) and Martin Molin (glockenspiel, traktofon, keys). Detektivbyrån , established '05, and now run by two siblings from Sweden who are making music for 12 years now, reminds me hard of artists like Beirut or Yann Tiersen . They're nice guys, and they use to be different to other bands. The Swedish band Detektivbyrån is a different and interesting band based in Gothenburg nowadays, but originally from Karlstad. Their debut album "Wermland" was released in September 2008, before that they have released a compilation of earlier music named "E18 Album" and the EP "Hemvägen". The description of their music is not that easy, but if you mix together a children's show on TV, a funny circus and Swedish music tradition spiced with some electric vibes, you're are somewhere near the atmosphere that Detektivbyrån offer. When I first got Detektivbyrån 's latest record "Wermland" it immediately became my wife's favorite record (an honor now held by The Devil's Blood , but that's a different story). Denna 2CD-version innehåller förutom just Markusevangeliet, en bonus-cd med bland annat fem stycken nyinspelade versioner, två helt nya låtar och den omtalade Detektivbyrån-remixen på Jag är en vampyr . Huruvida Fel på hjärnan är en av de nya låtarna är oklart.

Detektivbyrån began making waves as soon as they released their first songs last year.
