Danny Brown the MC out of Detroit dropped a new video just yesterday for his track "Grown Up." It features a really well acted younger Danny Brown as he walks around destroying all in his path. This little Danny Brown literally looks like a mini Danny Brown, and plays the part well. Anyway, the video tells the story of how Danny broke his teeth in an entertaining and creative fashion. Check the latest video from Danny Brown above...

Detroit rapper Danny Brown is an artist I’ve been on the fence about for a while. While his rhyming talent and creativity is undeniable, his aggressive, shrieking delivery has always prevented me from becoming a big fan. That has all changed with the release of his new video “Grown Up”. Easily the most accessible song I’ve heard from Brown, “Grown Up” still keeps everything that’s great about his style intact, but his slightly toned down delivery makes it a song that will get a lot of play from me. As great as the song is, the video (featuring [...]

Based out of Detroit, Clear Soul Forces are another example of quality Hip-Hop group's making themselves noise from Motown. In similar fashion to groups like The Left , Clear Soul Forces emits a gritty midwest knock - with quality lyrics following right behind. Today we get a dope set of visuals for "Stick Em" off their latest LP Detroit #Revolution(s) - hit the jump for the video.

UK grime and dubstep artist Darq E Freaker teamed up with the esteemed Danny Brown for "Blueberry (Pills & Cocaine)". The track is a banger to say the least, with Danny Brown's over-the-top personality and lifestyle taking center stage. Yoni Lappin directed the visuals, creating a perfect pairing to the hyphy, drugged out anthem that the two artists created. I've really been enjoying the new trend of electronic producers linking with rappers, most notably fellow British producer Star Slinger , and "Blueberry (Pills & Cocaine)" is a great addition to the slew of recent releases.

There seems to have been an overwhelming amount of lack luster videos for good (and bad) songs as of late. Whether it's strange dreamy characters that don't make sense, annoying teenagers egging cars or a band playing live accompanied by some type of pyrotechnic, I began wondering if all the good video ideas had been used up. Personally, I'm a sucker for a clever time lapse or even the old tried and true road trip footage any day, but nothing plays better then a band showing love to their hometown. El dúo indie pop Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. (integrado por Joshua Epstein y Daniel Zott) recién estrenó el video para “We Almost Lost Detroit” , un track increíblemente pegajoso, extraído del álbum It’s A Corporate World. Way back when we first kicked off this whole shit show I posted an article on my recent record buying finds, including a pick-up of an album for which I knew some personal, detailed history but had never actually heard or seen. One of my longest-running musical collaborator's father had engineered this album (among many others in the late 60s Detroit scene) and he'd told us stories about his adventures with the jazz-rock duo Teegarden & Van Winkle. Jim Cassily was always good for a story and his eyes will gleam with more than a hint [...]
Danny Brown drops a video for one of my favorite tracks off of last year's XXX . It's one of the most obnoxious songs on the mixtape, and it's meant to be. Not only are Danny's lyrics a sharp criticism of the music business, but the instrumental and singing bring the song as far away from "radio friendly" as possible. You can listen to XXX here , and check my review for it here . / via /
Peep Danny Brown's attempt at a hit single. If you haven't heard the album, XXX , I highly recommend. Been on repeat for weeks. Most Bruiser Brigade shit I've heard recently is good too. Dopehead's Plaid Palm Trees has gotten its share of spins. But yo, this baked potato is taking forever in the microwave.

Hir-O is on the beat, a dope dope melodic flip (of what I assume is part of the Inception soundtrack) and then Red Pill comes in spitting Fire and Flames, this is just hella dope, and then there's the ultra sharp visuals that create a feeling of dystopia and exile, just what this track is kinda about, I mean, this is one of the favourite things I've posted on here for sure. Tweet vaso link Here's the video for Jack White's "Love Interruption," from his upcoming, debut solo album Blunderbuss . The album will be out via Third Man Records on April 23/24 (depending where you live in the world), and is preceded by this particular track on 73 vinyl, which is backed with "Machine Gun Silhouette." Apparently Jack White has found a fascination with firearms since the break up of The White Stripes.

Here's an icy, distant new deep house / " Detroit-future-murk " track from the insanely prolific Coyote Clean Up , taken from his forthcoming FROZEN SOLID tape, out soon on 100% Silk . The short teaser vid was shot by @icecoldchrissy himself at a glow-stick-infested rave in his hometown of Detroit:
