The 2 Bears are made up of one half Joe Goddard (Hot Chip) and one half Raf Rundell (Greco-Roman Soundsystem) and combined they make Indie-Electro House. In the last 12 months the furry twosome of Raf Rundell and Joe Goddard have been making considerable waves with their unique brand of curios indie electro-pop. In a rather novel twist the DFA guys led a live streamed panel to run through The Rapture "How Deep is Your Love" finalists and eventual winner. After a studious listen to all 11 entrants the winner was announced as Cyclist & Pat Lok , the British Canadian entry - although we had dibs on home-grown talent Cassian taking the blue ribbon. We have been a fan of HOLY GHOST! from the beginning, but I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised to hear this new remix from Dimitri From Paris ! He took the Holy Ghost and mashed it with his own 80's vibe. This remix is something you would almost expect from the masters, New Order . It is an instant classic! There was a time, long ago, when we used to put up some remixes on a Friday. In this spirit, here's the new EP that The Rapture are releasing on the 17th January. It's got versions of their song 'Sail Away' by Aeroplane, Cosmic Kids and Cut Copy. What with this being DFA, the remixes are very much of the 'electronic' variety and the whole EP will clock in at a little under 25 minutes, with the Aeroplane mix being fairly typical of his productions, which is to say soaring and epic and, most importantly, good. Bowlegs Music ReviewMinimal, post-punk duo Prinzhorn Dance School return after a healthy hiatus of several years. They're still happy to expose the guts of their music, easy for the autopsy – crisp electric guitar, bass and drums, with the pair sharing vocal duties throughout. Their 2008 debut, produced by James Murphy, was starker for sure. The production here sounds smoother – a more rounded affair.
