The Cambridge Room at HOB played host to a sold out show headlined by The Temper Trap and opened by The Kissaway Trail on Monday night. I was mainly concerned with seeing Kissaway Trail, but didn't quite realize that Temper Trap would draw quite the superfan kind of crowd that ended up showing up. Yeasayer played the other night to a mega-packed sweaty sold-out Granada house in Dallas, and it was great stuff. I have seen these guys several times now and it really never gets old. They still bring the energy, bring the noise and certainly bring their own interesting brand of psych-prog rock to the peeps. Hit up the ole Granada for Surfer Blood, who were in the midst of the tour and on their way to SXSW, where it appears they are playing like 25 shows in 4 days. Metric came to Dallas and rocked out the Palladium in a very tight, brisk set that seemingly entertained everyone to their heart's content.
