Ontario, Canada's Monster Act are the newest addition to the Dine Alone Records roster. They will be re-releasing The Brown EP October 18th. The first single from the EP, "Sworded Beest" features guest vocals from Alexisonfire 's Geroge Pettit and is currently streaming over at Exclaim . Monster Truck are currently on tour in Canada with Sheep Dogs.

Toronto, ON's Dinosaur Bones has unveiled a new video for "N.Y.E." from their latest album My Divider . Check it out below. The band is currently touring the US behind the record, and will be recording a Daytrotter session later this month. Those dates can be found below as well.

Toronto's The Golden Dogs will be releasing their new album, Coat of Arms , on April 26, 2011 via Dine Alone Records . The label will actually be distributing the album in the US as well as in Canada. The band has also set up a stream of the album, which can be heard at their website .

City and Colour , a project by Dallas Green of Alexisonfire, has headed into Catherine North Studios in Hamilton, Ontario to record his third album. He'll be working with producer/engineer/mixer Alex Newport who has previously worked with At The Drive-In, Mars Volta and Death Cab for Cutie. While there is no title or release date for the record at this point, Green will be updating progress through a special website starting this Friday. City and Colour's last album was 2008's Bring Me Your Love .

Alexisonfire has announced a surprise show set to take place on December 17 at Sonic Boom, an independent record shop in Toronto. Despite the inherit contradiction in announcing a surprise show, the show promises to be a barn burner. Alexisonfire will at the very least be playing their new Dog's Blood EP front-to-back and admission to the show will be dealt with on a first-come-first-serve basis. The 3:00pm show will likely reach capacity very quickly, but those not able to attend will be able to check it out via the band's Facebook page. [...]

If there is a single tour that can sum out the awesome new records we've seen in 2010, this might be it. Still high on the release of their incredibly well received new record, The Flatliners will hit the road in Quebec and Ontario this December and they're taking Fake Problems and The Menzingers along with them. The forces of Cavalcade , Real Ghosts Caught on Tape and Chamberlain Waits will combine into something truly epic. [...]

Mockingbird Wish Me Luck have launched a stream of their new 7-inch, Branches . The 7-inch follows the band's album, Goodbye Debris , released in 2009. They will be supporting the new 7-inch on a Canadian tour with The Menzingers, Flatliners and Fake Problems. Check out the stream here .

On Friday, August 27th Attack In Black will return to their home turf for pair of special shows in Niagara. The Welland-based band will appear at the historic Mansion House in St. Catharines, Ontario for an all ages show at 7:00 PM followed by a second 19+ set at 11:00 PM. The label will be reissuing their 2009 EP Goodbye Debris as a digital download and a new 7" is in the works for the late summer or early fall. A full length is expected afterwards. Walter Schreifels of Quicksand , Gorilla Biscuits , Rival Schools and Walking Concert fame, has posted his new solo album for streaming online. titled An Open Letter to the Scene . The record is being released by Academy Fight Song in the US, Dine Alone Records in Canada, Big Scary Monsters in the UK, Arctic Rodeo in the rest of Europe and High Hopes Records in Japan. The acoustic project from Dallas Green of Alexisonfire is currently wrapping up a US tour and recently released a single entitled Live at the Verge , which features "Forgive Me" from 2008's Bring Me Your Love and a solo acoustic cover of Alexisonfire's "Boiled Frogs." A new full-length is anticipated in 2010.

Dine Alone Records have posted the new video from Hamilton, Ontario's Arkells . "Pulling Punches" is the third single from 2008's Jackson Square . The five piece recently picked up the "Favorite New Artist" award at the fan voted CASBY awards thrown by Toronto radio station Edge 102.1.
