We got a new Diplo song for your Thursday afternoon. “Set It Off” features Lazerdisk Party Sex, and after some calming sampling seconds, a full on party erupts.  This is off Diplo’s upcoming 6 track EP, Express Yourself , coming out June 12th on Mad Decent.

It seems like Diplo's Mad Decent label creeps further with a short video uploaded of the bossman freestyling over a steady beat by Lunice in the studio. Those with quick eyes will notice the Diplo feat Lunice "Talkin Dry-Clean" at the start although at this stage we're unsure of the seriousness to it all. In some eyebrow raising news Diplo has signed a 5 year deal with  comedic rapper Riff Raff to his Mad Decent imprint. How did it come to light? Twitter of course with the producer tweeting about a deposit on a 45K chain with Egyptian Blacklight Amethysts and Tinted Lopaz! The rapper, who came to fame starring in the cult US show 'From G's to Gent's' will also be the basis of James Franco's new role in a new comedy flic Spring Breakers [...]

We haven’t heard from Mad Decent ’s finest pottymouthed Brazilian baile funk crew Bonde Do Role since 2007’s still-awesome With Lasers , but they’re back with a new song, the supremely catchy “Kilo,” which is the first track from their upcoming record Tropical/Bacanal , produced by Diplo and Poolside , and an accompanying, appropriately sexy / gross  / ridiculous video featuring Diplo himself (in a cowboy costume!), alongside a couple strippers in fruit bikinis, playing a weird bar game [...]

Rapper Riff Raff is the last “musician” I would expect Diplo to sign to Mad Decent. Complex is reporting that Diplo actually offered Riff Raff a record deal and to complete the deal Diplo dropped a 45k deposit on a chain for Riff Raff. Now, I’m lost for words at this point considering Riff Raff is a joke to society but his music is comedic relief. I just watched this at Stereogum.com and decided it too ridiculous not to post. Trying to explain this video will make me sound like a crazy person but it's sort of like a level of Fruit Ninja with random cowboys and Diplo blasting shit at sumo-riding bikini clad floozies. Diplo's collaboration with Usher quickly became a hit, and it hasn't stayed unnoticed to other producers. Kaytra Laboom a.k.a Kaytradamus just released his twist to this track, giving it a nice bouncy feel, with more drums, extra synths etc. Definitely a nice addition! Usher - Climax (Kaytradamus Remix)

Possibly my favourite song ever! It's the new one from Major Lazer that first appeared on their album preview video filmed in Jamaica back in June of last year. This has been on repeat for the past 72 hours and I have no plan on putting a stop to it. Usher 's big Diplo  produced track ' Climax ' has been given a Mad Decent  touch-up from the producer himself and good dude Flosstradamus . Less is certainly more in terms of production here, as the pair kick it back with a smooth, easy flow, rising and dropping in all the right places as Usher 's devastating falsetto croons all over this techy delight. Music to get down to.

128 Beats Per Minute: Diplo's Guide to Music, Culture and Everything In Between is a coffee table book chronicling the infamous Philly DJ's prolific world travelling in photo form. Featuring photography from Shaun McCauley and the occasional passage of autobiographical commentary from Diplo, it's described as "a culmination of just some of the experiences [Diplo's] had so far". From the previews that I've seen, it looks like it might be a decent browse.
