It's been three year's since Dirty Projectors ' critically acclaimed breakout album  Bitte Orca,  but as soon as we got to hear " Gun Has No Trigger ," the first single from Swing Lo Magellan, we knew the wait had been worth it. On first listen, this is the band's most accessible album to date, with bright, sometimes poppy melodies complementing some of David Longstreth's more esoteric tendencies. Dirty Projectors are currently streaming their new album, Swing Lo Magellan , on NYTimes.com . The 12-track effort was culled from “a sprawling twelve months of constant writing and recording in a weird house in Delaware County, New York," and features frontman David Longstreth alongside Amber Coffman (vocals/guitar), Nat Baldwin (bass), Brian McOmber (drums), and Haley Dekle (vocals). It will be formally released on June 10th by Domino Records.
