We are very proud to announce our very first tour presented with Archery Club for house/disco connoisseur Perseus' "Disco never dies, but the crowd pleasing nu-disco sound of the past three years has officially been silenced as 20112s balls dropped." Leon Oziel has always had a great eye for talent. During his days as a reviewer for Discodust, he helped spotlight the likes of Ellie Goulding, Disclosure and some duo called umm, errrr... Azari & III! So it comes as no surprise that three years on [...]

This Andre Lodemann edit came out of a Track ID discussion on Grindin' regarding the song at 22 minutes in Pompeya's Electronica Podcast . It's definitely on the obscure side of finding a gem but, in any case, large ups to Philip Disco Dust for the ID on this soulful number. Akabu - Another World (Andre Lodemann Mix) ( Beatport )

Was will man machen? Wer im Vollrausch keine Lust hat, den weiten Weg bis ins hippe Treptow auf sich zu nehmen oder dort an der Security scheitert – Deja-vu –, kann es auch im bequem erreichbaren Picknick [...]
One of my favorite blogs DISCODUST interviewed one of my favorite dance world artists Calvin Harris. Talking about his current DJ tour, the beginnings of his experience in the DJ world, mentioning of David Guetta a few times, the difference between the UK dance scene and the rest of the world to his transition of [...]
BUTTERFLY BONES This is an act we found whilst doing our usual rounds of the ever-reliable blogs Big Stereo , Discodust and Gotta Dance Dirty . Hailing from California, Butterfly Bones make suitably sunshine-infused, synth led pop music. They've already been tagged as chill wave, but they come with the implied warmth of a dwindling bonfire's embers on the beach one August morning. It's the kind of feel good soundtrack that Cut Copy made us fall in love with when they were focusing on their laid-back, drawn-out grooves. Alongside the [...]

A young gentleman previously of Japan and New York base (hence the name) now based in the UK where he has been crafting melodic electronic pop Ou Es t (a little) but has a more rounded pop voice and bigger and deeper synths. Perhaps more Penguin Prison meets Ellie Goulding than Camden's Poster boys...? Either way, discovered through our good friend James of 88days and Brilliantly Different and the track came from Discodust who finally managed to pull a download out of Japa . Thank God [...]

Phonat was 1st introduced to me by Discodust last year. I've been all about them ever since. The have a serious Daft Punk feel, but without the robot masks. This London based Italian electronic musician really knows how to come correct not only with his music but their music videos are right up our alley! This is some visual eye candy right here, bringing back the old school vibe with the newer 3-D animation! It's sooo sick! Check out there new video below! Music video for "Love Hits The [...]
One of the most consistent sources of interesting music and in depth commentary Pelski provides what I never knew I was looking for. While sometimes his selections don't resonate with me there are times, such as my discovery of "Lungisani" by Milt Mortez, where something I never know I wanted has become something I feel I needed. Milt Mortez - Lungisani.mp3 Discodust is adictive, I just want to set down with it on a mirror staring back, block one nostrile and let go. Discodust [...]

So, Starry Eyed... Destined to be the biggest pop tune of 2010? Yeah, it seems pretty likely. Time to sit back and wait for the remixes to roll in then. Every now and again it hits me how big Ellie Goulding is going to be this year and it's a little scary. Obviously, we had Jakwob 's a while back in 2009, and here in January and now Russ Chimes has put forward his effort (via Neon Gold Records and Discodust ) which is a big and reasonably ecstatic piece [...]

Pete Davis and James Banbury, aka Dadahack have released this absolute warm electro genius onto the 'net via, i think, the unceasingly marvelous Discodust . Seven minutes of pulsating bass and harmonic melodies. Will fit nicely in a disco, house or electro set. See also, great vocals from Hannah Robinson. Dadahack ft. Hannah Robinson - Hello Dust J. X

Pere Ubu - On The Surface Recently, you see some of those close to you, and trying to live up to the image constructed artificially. They live in the clothes of lies, and strive to convince the world that this is true. Many people, fraud, and the appearance of the surface enough that it does not want to know the people around them other trivialities. You have seen the negative impact that occurs when you do not match the external and internal. Unfortunately, it led to violence, as if from a cartoon. [...]

Steed Lord first caught our attention early last year thanks to Discodust . Steed Lord came with flashy gems and original artwork from The Zonders and they def had a vintage yet fresh feel from the start. They have a classic 90's house feel with their woman lead vocalist. She nails that whole era with her vocals! Right out the park baby! It's about time someone took that retro feel and teamed it up with newer electro/dance music. The remixes that are being turned out by some of our fav producers have really amped the sound [...]
Clock Opera - Alouette.mp3 [Player] Clock Opera - White_Noise.mp3 [Player] Clock Opera 's architect Guy Connelly describes his work as 'Chop Pop', highlighting the deconstruction of sounds and reassembling the micro samples and electronic blips into complex soundscapes. Regardless of taxonomy, his work wholly satisfies my palatable desire for strongly orchestrated, electronic infused pop. White Noise came out today and was found at Illegal Tender (+interview). Also keep your ears open for an impending Marina and the Diamonds [...]

Yay!

There's nothing quite as cyberpunk and sci-fi cool as a Bionic Commando , so I guess I should be pretty interested in the new game coming out. However, the description As a neat little marketing gimmick they've gotten some dudes to remix the theme song of the original game and posted them on music blogs. The problem is that whatever cred amongst the music community they might have gained through this move they immediately lost for bragging that the main character in the game is going to be voiced by Mike Patton, former lead singer of Faith [...]
