Got two new things from my favorite electronic hip-hop duo King Fantastic. First 3 Stripes and DJ Troublemaker remixed the KF song, "Appreciation". It's got an electro/dubstep feel and is a certified BANGER! Appreciation (3 Stripes and Troublemaker Remix) by kingfantastic DOWNLOAD King Fantastic also dropped a music video to "On Q" a couple months back. I [...]

The last time we posted a DJ Troublemaker remix was back in 2009 when he dropped the Matt & Kim tracks. He's done a lot since then but we've just been slacking a bit. But, now he's back and has teamed up with Tate La Rock to give a club-ready remix of the track "Rolling Stone" from The Weeknd . The original track was a nice mellow and sultry ballad for the ladies but this remix builds upon that and takes it up a notch. You even get some wobble wobble in this. [...]

The Weeknd - Rolling Stone (Tate La Rock and Troublemaker Remix) You know Troublemaker as the producing/remixing half of groups Rad Omen and King Fantastic . Tate La Rock & Troublemaker combined forces (not unlike Captain Planet) to create this remix of The Weeknd's bare acoustic track "Rolling Stone," trans-morphing the vibe from cocaine & valium to cocaine & more cocaine for a new genre of music they're calling 'panty step' via Pigeons & Planes drink the kool aid:
Below are three mashups that I really love but haven't blogged about yet. In order of most recent to oldest. DJ Troublemaker of King Fantastic recently did a mashup with the Killer Reese One vocals from "Why? Where? What?" (a King Fantastic song)
This past spring a video started circulating on the internet of what seemed to be a group of four guys bored getting together and making one of the greatest music videos- each dressed up as different fast food characters. The video shows them running around Los Angeles having a great time. The band was called [...]
Ever since first laying eyes and ears on Rad Omen , an inordinate amount of friends and fans of this here outlet contacted me to see if I would in fact be posting this up. See, "rad" in every sense of the word, is literally used in my day-to-day phrasings more than any other descriptor. I mean, it technically, kind of IS my last name too. Don't believe me? Bounce here . Legit. [...]

Nina Simone is one of those artists that I have always loved. I had first heard about her through videos of Matt Embree of the RX Bandits ( see previous post ) performing "Be Your husband" and I immediately fell in love. Mr. Embree also used to throw the lyrics to "Love Me or Leave Me" into some RXB live jams .. which was really a beautiful thing. Anyways, "Feeling Good" is a lovely tune by Ms. Nina Simone and DJ Troublemaker has remixed the song for the upcoming EA Sports video game The Saboteur. Below, [...]

DJ Troublemaker remixes Brooklyn duo's Matt and Kim's upbeat pop heavy melody "Daylight." The remix features the group De La Soul who rap over the original vocals. The chorus is kept the same (words and Matt's vocals) but techno like electronics replace the synth pop sound of the original. DJ Troublemaker says, "Words cannot describe the amount of happiness this song brings me. I consider De La Soul to be the greatest group in the history of hip hop. And, growing up and getting into music production, never did I think I would have the opportunity to work [...]

DJ Troublemaker has done a shit load of tracks this year. 2009 isn't even over yet. From remixing heavy hitter Mastodon to tackling the indie crazy of the summer of Phoenix's 1901. The man can make a mean mix. This time it's for one of my favorites - Matt & Kim's "Daylight." Spice it up with a nice touch of De La Soul aaannd, done. Seems to be a pretty busy month for DJ Troublemaker , now dropping on us this Daylight remix, which couldn't make me more happy. Fucking loveeeee Matt & Kim , don't care who knows it, they're an amazing duo and deserve as much attention as possible. When Daylight was first released, I don't even think you can fathom how many times I listened to that song, on repeat, day after day. On top of that, the remix features by far one of the most influential hip-hop groups of all time.. De La Soul , making it that [...]
Our pals over at Metal Insider are currently hosting a remix of Mastodon's "Oblivion" by a fellow named DJ Troublemaker (pictured above spinnin' mad crazy dope shit, yo). My brutha from anutha mutha, Bram Teitelman, writes of the track - It's not that it's terrible – it's just not particularly good. It's slow, plodding, and has all [...]

Some new U-N-I & 87 Stick Up Kids. I heard the original Peter Bjorn and John song on KCRW, and had to find it immediately. A couple weeks later, thru cross continental file sharing, I am pleased to present you with one of my favorite tracks to date. It features Swedish emcee Adam Tensta, and Los Angeles' own U-N-I and The 87 Stick Up Kids. Thank you Rockwell for connecting the dots, Kristian Riley at Treehouse Studios for the stellar mix, and Kelly Hibbert at Elysian Masters for the bumpin mastering job. [...]

There's no denying my affinity for Milosh, the Canadian artist who produces modern and chilly electronic chamber music, not unlike the similarly inclined Junior Boys, must be something in the maple syrup up there. We are sharing with you a deceptively simple remix of "Awful Game", from Milosh's excellent third album, iii . The gentle, bouncey galloping of the synths and choir-like chanting create a nice backdrop for Milosh's glacial warbling. Milosh - Awful Game (DJ Troublemaker Remix) (320 kbps) Check out DJ Troublemakers other remixes at his mySpace page [...]

Troublemaker has unveil the first single to come out from the upcoming album The Maestro . The song features female MC Baby Cashtrid, check it out. "I'm Famous" | download Myspace | Shows

Featured back in September for his remix of Johnny Cash's Straight A's in Love , DJ Troublemaker is at it again with a new track off his upcoming release The Maestro . I'm Famous (featuring Baby Cashtrid) is a banger for sure. Solid production and Baby Cashtrid's L Trimm like flow is a crowd pleaser settling in nicely with the recent surge of throw back female MCs ( Kid Sister , Rye Rye , etc). ______________________________ ______________________________ ______________________________ _________ MP3: DJ [...]

The legend recently got remixed by Los Angeles electro-dude Dj Troublemaker. Apparently John Carter Cash, son of Johnny Cash, asked Troublemaker to select one of the Sun Recordings songs and remix it from the original stereo master (no Pro Tools sessions back then). This is the result: "Straight A's in Love (Troublemaker Remix)" | download On October 14 Compadre Records will release a remix album titled Johnny Cash [...]
