nyctaper has a recording from the Rubblebucket show we posted about yesterday. Carly and Nick did some great work capturing the energy of the show and now I can hear it for myself. Thanks, nyctaper! Maybe it shouldn't be a novelty that Rubblebucket are distinguished by their virtuosity on their instruments – lead singer Kalmia [...]
Dog snuggie is one of those topics that is just loaded with interesting offshoots that you can learn and strengthen your understanding. Truth about it is that is where it all starts with everybody - realizing there is something more to the story. It is always your call as to whether or not to gain outside help with some things. Sure, call us do-it-yourself people because that is our preferred method of operation. We think that not every single item or point you find will be readily needed, and that has been our experience too. [...]

http://store.americanapparel.n et/search.html?r=&as=1&s=Flex+ Fleece+Dog+Zip+Hoody American Apparel is always creating new, innovative products to improve the lives' of their consumers. The company has become a staple in the alt world, creating t-shirts, hoodies, and other stuff that alt ppl wear and other random ass pieces of cloth to wrap on ur body. Usually, the target market of consumers are human, but now it seems like they are launching an entirely brand new line for alt dogs. The hoodie is often worn by swaggy tweens, emos, pokemones, and cool dads who aren't wearing a [...]
I don't know who this girl is or what Australian town she came from, but she's moshed her way into my heart with this one single song, "My First Hardcore Song." Hopefully, she'll be releasing more material soon.
Here's a bunch of dogs singing the "Imperial March" in the latest commercial from Volkswagen. The commercial claims "It will all make sense on February 5," which, coincidentally, is the same day as the Super Bowl. I'm having a difficult time deciding which dog - the Ewok terrier, the Scotty Chewbacca, or the Black Lab Vader - is most adorable. See Also: Chewbacca's Best Friend . [via devour ]

Everyone's favourite quintet-from-Nottingham , Dog Is Dead , have announced details of an extensive jaunt around the UK - which includes a new show at the Borderline in London on March 15th - and a brand new single ' Two Devils' which is set for release on March 5th via Atlantic Records. Rob from the band had this to say about the song; " It's a tale of guilt and insanity stemming from a twisted relationship in which a girl falls sick. It's a little dark." Lovely [...]
The Dogs - Different The derision usually associated with French rock is often well placed but there are several arguments against such a line of thinking in the form of early 80's punk and power pop entries like The Dogs and Téléphone. The former made their mark on the French punk scene with the highly underrated Different , a pounding bit of punk with a pop soul and a sour lyrical streak that garnered it comparisons to The Only Ones. Well deserving of the comparison too, Dominique Laboubée's songwriting carries the [...]

I've been a fan of The Dogs ever since I first heard "Slash Your Face" on the first Killed By Death comp. I picked up the collection "Fed Up" when it was first issued in 2000, and it has been in steady rotation in my house ever since. Dionysus Records have recently repressed the 13 track "Fed Up" collection in an edition of 500 copies on white vinyl, with a digital version included. From the label: "In the late '70s LA punk scene, Detroit/Los Angeles transplants The Dogs were [...]

Like, why wouldn't we spread this joyous photograph on the Internet?

Chicago four-piece The Dogs put out 'Camping', their debut album, all the way back in March. Opening track 'We Don't Have To Do Anything' is a glorious indie-rock anthem with big punchy choruses and guitars, which makes this a killer song, and shows that band have great potential. The Dogs is a band that hails from Chicago, and they describe themselves as "family rock." This could mean a number of things, but upon first listen of "We Don't Have To Do Anything," it becomes clear what they meant. There's a lot going on in this one song. It starts off slow as the lead singer coaxes you into the ocean of sound about to come, repeating "we don't have to do anything," but it quickly escalates into a wild party of instruments. It's kind of like a family gathering—it starts off slow with some tender [...]

Tweet vaso link Kicking around Twitter and Facebook most of the day lends itself to, in addition to seeing a bunch of nonsense, the occasional informative link. This week, from my following Born Gold (who is playing our 3rd Birthday show in March, if you haven't seen), I saw this article on Forbes of the Best Free Albums of 2011, which led me to The Dogs. Hailing from Chicago, The Dogs' album Camping was released for [...]

Dog Is Dead round off a fantastic 2011 by announcing a Christmas give-away and a mammoth UK tour for early next year. The band, who have released a handful of sparkling singles throughout the year, will play the following dates throughout February and March; February 18 – Norwich Arts Centre February 19 – Oxford Academy 2 February 20 - Birmingham Academy 3 February 21 – Bristol Thekla February 23 [...]
As I Lay Dying might be one of the more well-known Christian metalcore outfits, but they didn't get hung up on their love of that pesky Jesus fellow when we subjected them to our seasonal interrogation. Nick Hipa made sure to remind us of the importance of dead pop stars, small fluffy dogs, and alien invasions [...]
by teepoo My dog is white but Dog is Blue is the name of a folk group from Toronto. While their name probably isn't literal, their music is. Like this song is literally about People . It works miraculously though and their album Tortoise is full of similarly pleasant songs that are insanely honest. Dog is Blue- People Bandcamp

After a dog owner got into a car accident on a Phoenix, Ariz., highway last Wednesday, the Yorkshire terrier broke away from the scene and led officers on a nerve-wracking chase in and out of traffic before eventually being corralled by Officer Martin Bennett. Normally, anything involving puppies is cute, but this just caused me to bite my fingernails down to the cuticles.
