After a little hiatus of laziness....here is a second heavy track for the weekend! Enjoy Excision & Downlink & Ajapai - Before The Sun (320) Download: Direct | Mediafire | Purchase
On today's episode of the Rock it Out! Blog, my brother, DJ JoJoe, and I review the new Korn album, The Path Of Totality , from Roadrunner Records. The album is a mix of metal and dubstep music and incorporates electronic artists like Skrillex, Datsik, Downlink, Noisia and more. The album, to me, doesn't work. Primarily because Korn is a band that, only last year, released an album that they promoted as getting back to their roots. Now they've released an album that, while some tracks stand out, falls flat due to the fact that many [...]

TBMA, Zeds Dead, Celldweller, Excision, Downlink, Figure, Adventure Club, Feed Me, Helicopter Showdown, and IB. This post is equipped with sick new music to make you feel warm and fuzzy inside for this upcoming holiday season. As an epic bonus I've included the Archnemesis album, People's Radio. This album is so funky fresh. I'm very excited to let [...]
Right. This is going to be one of the posts where it may appear to be more of a rant rather than a write-up because quite frankly, I am a little fed up of the whole media hypocrisy and the unknowledgable lot stating this, that and the other. The latest album from nu-metal giants @Korn. Yes, nu-metal giants. The band that took metal-rock music down a new route by adding further electronic effects plus extra dimensions production wise to their work and into their music. I would say it began with 'Follow [...]

With a mix of "sirenlike shards of dissonant guitar that mimicked a turntablist's various effects and rumbling down-tuned riffing that defined the nu metal aesthetic" KoЯn tore into the music scene in the mid-'90s. With primary influences including Metallica, Sepultura, Faith No More, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Helmet, Rage Against the Machine, Slayer, Pink Floyd, Primus, Tool, Ministry, Mr. Bungle, Biohazard, Nine Inch Nails, Pantera, Beastie Boys, Black Sabbath, and Jane's Addiction, the Band's sound became synomous with an entire's generation angst, rockers where born, and ball chain necklaces as thick as your wrist became required garb for [...]
Yup, its about that time again bugs, Dubstep Delivery is here to make your Tuesday all about a heavy voltage of bass. This week's lineup is inadvertently designed to earthquake-proof you and your surrounding neighbors' houses, completely. It's simple, just crank your sub to full and the following tunes will knock down any and all loose or small items in your household. First up is a Coven remix of Teknian's new track "Ruff." For the bass heads out there, if you don't know about the legend that is Excision, let me give you a brief introduction. This Canadian bass producer is mainly known for his aggressive, hip hop and metal influenced dubstep as well as his extremely technical production technique that rivals many producers out there right now. He runs Rottun Records, a label that I've been following for a while now that has launched names like Datsik and Downlink into the upper ranks of the current dubstep scene. One of the things Excision is [...]
The infamous Dubstomp Wompday dedicates this week to Porter Robinson, featuring an ultimate gem of jams courtesy of Porter Robinson and his brand spankin' new album. Hurry up and get this while it's good! It includes banging' hard remixes by Knife Party, Skism, Downlink, Mikkas, and Kill the Noise. And of course, the fired up electro house originals [...]

As you know, we decided to do away with the Filthy Friday (bye bye mud lady!) feature and just stick to Wobble Wednesday . But wait! Before you panic... the plan is to incorporate both features into this one, so you don't lose out on any of the filth! Not exactly sure how I'm going to format this feature but I am open to suggestions. As you well know there is an abundance of filthy dubstep tracks oppose to the deeper side. I would like to keep it equal. I feel as if the deeper side [...]
Porter Robinson's Spitfire came out today. Technically an "extended EP", this is the first release on Skrillex's new OWSLA and listens more like an album. It's electro, dubstep, progressive, trance, and even moombahton. It's insane. Insomniac and Smile For Camera are bringing him to Takeovr next month (EVENT PAGE HERE) . (PRESALE TICKETS HERE) . That is all. ₩₩ Spitfire by Porter Robinson
Excision has released his first album under Mau5strap that includes 46 minutes of filthy bass. With a dirty supporting cast of some of his Kelowna rottun brothers Datsik and Downlink as well as Skism, Messinian and Savvy. With Dirty basslines, dinosaur roars, OG robot vocals, wicked breakdowns and eye opening drops this album was made for Subs and Bassfaces. Happy bedroom skanking and shuffling my friends. Excision deserves your money. Follow Excision Like Excision Buy Excision [...]

In case you were unaware Skrillex has just dropped the first release on his new record label OWSLA. Porter Robinson gets the honors of popping the proverbial cherry on this one, his 11 track EP covers quite a diverse set of genres, moving between dubstep, electro, progressive, moombathon, and even includes a drum and bass mix. Speaking of which, the likes of Kill The Noise, SkisM, Downlink, Knife Party, and Mikkas have been recruited for the remixes. The Ep will be available for purchase tomorrow the 13th but if you can't wait till then, and I know you can't, it's [...]

This came out at a perfect time because I was just starting to feel like I was lacking new grimy dubstep, and this certainly fills that hole. X-Rated was released on mau5trap today (Sept. 12) and features many of the current biggest names in the grime scene. If you have been following Excision you'll recognize a couple tracks on here, but there are a bunch of new ones that you will really want to get your hands on.
