Out of nowhere, Brother Ali springs to life to shed his two cents on the Drake and Common beef . Like many of you, I think this beef is a complete joke. I mean, sure, it is entertaining, but who really cares about the two softest MCs in the game going at it? It seems Brother Ali shares similar thoughts, as he plays around a bit with the whole situation over Common's "Sweet" beat. Mourning In America and Dreaming In Color, Brother Ali's upcoming album, is set to drop sooner than later.
After instigating some hostility from Drake in his recent Rick Ross feature, Common takes to the mic to remix "Stay Schemin'" with some choice words of his own. Honestly, I see little reason for Com to be going at the T-Dot MC right now, although it does get me a little excited when two rappers I actually care about are going at it. Dare I say this is a ploy to boost both Drake and Common's newly released albums? Who do you think is going to pull ahead in this one, ya'll? [ via ] [...]
Before all you "hip-hop purists" poop on Rick Ross, take a second to realize how much of an impact this guy has been making on the genre. From his guest features to the formation of MMG, he is a force to be reckoned with. With that said, I can't help but show some love for the release of his highly anticipated mixtape, Rich Forever . Admittedly, I am spinning the hell out of this thing right now. With rap features and production from cats like Drake, Nas, Wale, Meek Mill, French Montana, Pharrell, Boi-1da, John Legend, Lex Luger, Chuck Inglish [...]

Ear Milk points towards a nice sounding Drake remix from Montreal-based duo Love Thy Brother. They've put their personal touch on the Take Care track "Crew Love" making it more than a little different upon first listen. See what you make of the throwback below. In celebration of reaching 15,000 fans on Facebook, Shlohmo unleashes this melting remix of "I'm On One". While I was absolutely sick of this song by the end of the summer, the west coast producer brings a new light to this played out single. With the dripping, slowed-down vocals and the added synths, this is going to be a go to at the next house party. Stream the remix and download it after the skip. ![[Review/Listen] – Drake – “Take Care”](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3919923_lg.jpg)
Tweet For the past few months, it seems like Drake has been the most hated man in hip-hop. Endless blogs have attacked him and his self-developed cult of personality, calling him out for being “soft” in all-caps rants or decrying his lack of being able to “say anything new”. Does he deserve all the hate? Well, yes and no. On the one hand, the attacks on his “softness” are really just thinly-veiled homophobic comments masquerading as criticism, and it’s also [...]

Take Care has taken over my rotation as of late, and rightfully so. To celebrate the release a bit more, Star Slinger adds his two cents to the opening track of the album, "Over My Dead Body". While the original is more minimalist, Slinger speeds things up with crisps drums and some fresh vocal effects. Take Care is available now!

Take Care is released today via Young Money.
Drake’s Take Care drops today ( read our glowing review! ), making the past few days the blogosphere equivalent of Shark Week – you can’t look away from the thinkpieces! Try to tear your eyes from the anonymous blog comments! Aubrey Graham himself, the Great White of this extended metaphor, keeps throwing us bones though, in the form of the record’s 19 songs (bonus tracks included). Here's a couple of tracks that weren't on the Take Care leak from last week. "Ride" will serve as the outro on the new Drake album and features some background vocals from The Weeknd, which is always a nice addition. "Hate Sleeping Alone" will be an added bonus when Take Care is purchased on iTunes. Hear them both now though. DRAKE FEAT. THE WEEKND - RIDE (THE OUTRO) DRAKE - HATE SLEEPING ALONE

Set to release the follow up to last year's Thank Me Later LP with this month's Take Care , the title-track from Drake's upcoming record got given it's radio introduction recently. Drawing heavily from Jamie xx's brilliant remix of Gil Scott-Heron's I'll Take Care of U and featuring the current go-to girl Rihanna, Take Care is an interesting melting-pot of noise that showcases just how eclectic modern pop music is becoming. Rihanna purrs as normal, Jamie xx's spirit keeps things minimal and Drake does his thing. Enjoy.
