Over the weekend, Drake took to his October’s Very Own blog to post an MP3 of “Headlines”, the supposit first single from the hip hop star’s eagerly anticipated sophomore album, "Take Care". Rumor...
I have to say Drake has one of the best hometowns in the whole world and he definitely holds it down for T-Dot. Since I've spent the last in Toronto I've been actively a part of the whole crowd of people really supporting Drake and his music and last night he dropped some gold with his first single of his anticipated album "Take Care". Here it is his first real single, "Headlines". Drake-Headlines

Our favorite export from our northern neighbors, Drake , released what is rumored to be the first single from his upcoming album Take Care . “ Headlines ” reaches a synergy by combining Drake’s typical fame and fortune lyrical style with an infectious string-based beat. The song seems to feel like it leans more towards a straight forward rap song than a mainstream hit. The song raises optimism for the upcoming album among fans who have been more than slightly troubled with Drake’s recent affinity for a softer R&B type sound with crossover pop undertones. [...]

Not content with resting on his laurels after launching a mini-phenomenon of sorts with his oft-remade summer freebie "Marvin's Room" , Drake returns with the proper first single to the forthcoming Take Care , a blistering joint that previews that Drake has moved on from talking about getting famous, then ruminating on what comes to finally achieving it, to now focusing in on responding to the feedback that has come in the wake of the success. And while we would love to say that Drake should just get a therapist so [...]

Drake reveals his latest effort from his highly anticipated sophomore album Take Care . The new single “Headlines” features Drake dropping lyrics over a Noah “40” Shebib and Boi-1da track. Take Care is set for a October 24th release date.

Watch the video for 'Marvin's Room', [...]
Drake's first single off his sophomore release, Take Care, produced by Boi-1da. Drizzy has been on fire with his string of recent releases, and 'Headlines' might be the best so far. It has Boi-1da's typical snare drums as Drake harmonizes over thebeginning of the beat. When you're as talented of a rapper/singer, no need [...]

Despite his reserved demeanor, Aubrey Graham doesn't shy away from the spotlight; he embraces it. He had an unabashed audacity to name his critically-acclaimed debut album, Thank Me Later and now, he's back proclaiming the first official taste of his sophomore album to make "Headlines." When you're talented, you're allowed some leeway with your confidence and Drake has the entire floor at his disposal. Take Care releases on October 24th. Drake - "Headlines" (Prod. Drake's new single hit the net and will probably be downloaded by millions. Take Care. DOWNLOAD HERE

It's not as common for a debut single from a music star to surface on a Sunday morning but right now Drake is making "Headlines" with the leak of his debut single. The first single is lifted from his forthcoming sophomore album entitled Take Care , out on October 24 . Aubrey filled the void of his inexistent R&B mixtape by releasing warm-up tracks "Dreams Money Can Buy" and the viral hit, "Marvin's Room." This morning the Rhythm Rapper releases a more uptempo track, produced by Boi-1da and Noah “40” Shebib . The [...]
Drizzy fans have been eagerly waiting for his first Take Care single. After weeks of anticipation it finally drops. Production by 40 and Boi-1da . You're going to be surprised if you were expecting this to sound like Marvin's Room or even Trust Issues . They know, Take Care drops October 24.
Screw a publicist or management. Drake took to Twitter and dropped the status update seen above with the series of numbers "10242011." Should we assume October's Very Own will release Take Care on October 24th? H/T: Vlad
So after Drake blasted his label Universal via Twitter this past weekend for taking down some his recently leaked tracks, looks like his October's Very Own team went ahead and made a "indie" little music video for the most recent rumored song off Take Care. Also looks like Chris Breezy hopped on his own version of the record. This comes days after he absolutely cleaned up at the BET Awards, and of course with the Rihanna incident always on our minds, one can only think who he's singing to on this... [...]
Lots of liquor in the new visuals for Drake's Marvin's Room . It features a clipped and slightly chopped version of the original song. I was a little disappointed after seeing the video, I didn't think it did the song justice. They did do a good job of depicting that sense of unrest that the song plays so heavy on though. This song has been getting a lot of remixes. Chris Brown released a remix this morning. Even JoJo did one a couple weeks ago. Yes [...]
On June 20, Drake released “Trust Issues” – the first track off his upcoming sophomore LP Take Care , which is due out Oct. 24 via Young Money Records . Everyone knows about the long standing relationship between The Weeknd and Drake, so it came to no shock that Abel Tesfaye, the man himself, doctored up a future garage, neo-soul, remix of this momentous track. Tastefully melodramatic, aurally evocative, and deceptively poignant, this remix represents everything we’ve come to expect from The Weeknd. Just wait until Thursdays [...]

Cooler Redux moment? Of sorts, even though the thick, tall glass of water captured above only appears for a brief moment in Drake's new video for "Marvin's Room." I'll wait on one of you hounddogs like Nello to ID her real quick. OVO via RR

Been loving these Drake leaks lately! Reminiscent of the So Far Gone days, getting excited for that follow-up to last year's Thank Me Later . This is one that will not be on Take Care, as clarified by Drizzy himself via his Twitter earlier. Trust Issues is just a fun thing I did while writing on one…not on Take Care Download: Drake - Trust Issues [Audio clip: view full post to listen] And if you didn't catch last week's leak, here it [...]
Drake's been going hard on that purple huh? He took a little bit from I'm On One and mixed it with a new perspective. I like the end product. The image that accompanied his post though.. Congrats to Drake on receiving the Hal David Starlight Award at the 42nd Annual Songwriters Hall of Fame gala. Did my own little thing using some other thing I did. You know. In the early hours of the morn, Drake drops "Trust Issues," which he describes as doing "my own little thing using some other thing I did." From my computer chair, I call it a mix of "I'm On One" while he's on one with what smells like speckles of "Black On Black Crime" influences.
